I booked my accommodation early and paid for it. I kept tracking my stay and the countdown was really close. I contacted host immediately after booking with no reply but it did not send a signal to do a serious follow up as our countdown was nearing... anyways... on the day of my 9 hr drive excited and ready for a new experience in a new town to enjoy some country music vibes, I decided to call the office to tell them that together with my friends our checking will be a bit delayed. Shock of my life... the property that I booked for had already been sold and so we basically did not have accomodation. I felt bad for the lady who was trying to look for alternatives for us but we were already frustrated and it didn't work out in the end. We had to sort ourselves out in a new town late in the night most hotels were already fully booked plus the ones available were way over the budget we had....I got my refund but I hope no one else has to experience this again after long hours of travel and lack of communication from the involved parties to necessitate early cancellations and seek alternatives. My friends and I took this challenge as a learning phase to better handle accomodations in future..simply no communication means no accomodation. Like how was the property sold without Stayz or Verbo's knowledge.... anyways,,, we learnt the hard way.
