Meeks Bay Chalet brings classic West Shore Tahoe right to the water. This 4-bedroom lakefront retreat sits among the pines just a short walk from Meeks Bay’s sandy beach, giving families and groups an easy home base for swimming, boating, hiking, and slower days along the lake.

Inside, warm wood runs from floor to vaulted ceiling, giving the home that classic Tahoe character while large windows keep the lake in view from the main living space. The living room invites everyone to settle in around the fireplace and TV, with the water forming a natural backdrop through the glass. The dining table seats eight for longer meals together, and the kitchen sits right in the flow of the room, so cooking never means stepping away from the group.

Four bedrooms and three full bathrooms give a group room to spread out. Two kings anchor the lineup, a queen room offers a quiet retreat, a room with two twins works well for kids or friends, and a full bed in the extra space handles one more. Bring your boat along: a mooring buoy sits directly in front of the house for your use during the stay, and a shared dock makes it easy to climb aboard or slip in for a swim.

Outside, the lakefront setting takes over completely. The deck looks straight out across Lake Tahoe, with lounge seating, outdoor dining, and a BBQ for meals that stretch into the afternoon. When the day slows down, the hot tub gives you a front-row seat to the changing light over the water. Down by the shoreline, a picnic table, shared dock, and mooring buoy make boating and lake days feel effortless, whether you’re heading out on the water or simply staying close to shore.

From the front door, the West Shore is yours. Walk to Meeks Bay's sandy beach and calm swimming water, or pick up the Meeks Bay Trailhead into Desolation Wilderness for a proper hike. Sugar Pine Point State Park and the historic Ehrman Mansion are five minutes away, D.L. Bliss and the Rubicon Trail a little farther south, and Emerald Bay's famous overlook beyond that. In winter, Homewood Mountain Resort is about 10 minutes north, with Tahoe City's restaurants and shops around 20 minutes and the energy of South Lake Tahoe roughly half an hour away when you want it.

Home Truths:
- Unfortunately, pets are not allowed in this home. If undisclosed pets are brought into the home without AvantStay's approval there is a fine of $500 per pet.
- Please note this property comes equipped with a Pack'n'Play and High chair.
- The dock is shared 50/50 with the neighboring property and is for boarding boats and swimming only. Please do not set up chairs or spend extended time on the dock.

This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.

As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.

Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees.

There is nothing more important to us at AvantStay than the health, safety, and experience of our guests & staff. We've enhanced our cleaning and sanitation protocols and are taking extra care to disinfect all surfaces between reservations with hospital-grade disinfecting solutions.

As a reminder, we do work with 3rd party vendors to maintain the property, and although we adhere to the strictest CDC guidelines and advise all contractors to wear PPE equipment, we can not always enforce. We strongly advise guests to please deny access if any vendors fail to meet and adhere to these standards.
