Be aware of the following dates: June 13-16, August 1-3,
October 15-20. On these dates I have been informed that the float company next to us will be holding concerts with loud music which you will hear at night It is out of my control unfortunately.

We love your fur babies and are excited to host them! We have a per pet flat rate of
$50/pet to help with the extra time needed to clean up after their stay.

The modern beachy vibe will set the tone for a relaxing and adventurous vacation! Whether you want to do yoga on the large front porch with a view of woods and the river (yoga mat block and strap provided) or fish from the bank, Chillinois River Cabins will not disappoint! Full coffee and tea bar, hot tub, makeup station with body mirror, karoake station, drums and musical instruments epic huge fire pit and MORE!!

WALK TO THE RIVER!!! Just a short stroll to the river where you can watch the sun set over the water or feed the huge schools of fish.

Thinking of floating the river? We are less than 2 miles from several float outfitters!

You will love drinking coffee on the front deck while watching the deer. Birds abound as well. They flock all day long to the various feeders. Hummingbirds arrive in the Spring!!

Want outdoor games? We have those too. Cornhole, lawn darts, oversized checkers etc. are provided.

NOTE FOR BEDS: ALL BEDS have zipper mattress protectors and padded mattress covers. The pillows also have bamboo zipper covers which are laundered after every guest.

Jen was incredibly kind and accommodating. We had a death in the family and needed to rearrange our dates and she was so understanding and made it easy for us to adjust our stay. The home was exactly as pictured: clean, cozy, and fully stocked with everything we needed.We especially loved the coffee bar. It had everything from hot to cold brew options. The house was very family-friendly, with toys and games for our 4 and 8 year old grandsons. My daughter brought her two dogs, and the home was wonderfully pet-friendly. There were water bowls and even dog toys available.The outdoor space was just as amazing. The back yard had a fire pit with plenty of chairs and a neatly stacked supply of firewood, which we enjoyed a couple of nights. The backyard was beautifully maintained, with a peaceful walkway down to the river. There were tubes available for floating, lounge chairs on artificial turf, and a perfect setup for fishing. We caught several catfish right off the bank.Mornings on the covered deck were especially peaceful. We often saw deer while enjoying our coffee. Jen thought of everything. There was bug spray located in several spots, and even river towels ready to use. She also left clear instructions for everything, making our stay even more relaxing and stress-free.We truly had a great experience and will definitely be back.

Perfect Trip!

I could go on forever about this property, but I'll only highlight a handful of things that stuck out to us. There was excellent communication from the start, with prompt responses and also helpful information during our entire stay. The awesome coffee bar was a huge hit for everyone! You can tell the owners put pride in what they do. There were cute handmade decorations and special touches that made it feel like home! This place exceeded our expectations and we can't wait to come back next year!!

The owners went above and beyond to make sure our stay was amazing. We had a terrible storm and lost power but we were top priority. Definitely recommend this property. It’s beautiful!

Such a great place to stay! It was very clean and had everything you needed in the kitchen which was nice. The back patio was such a great space to hang out and all the furtnutue and beds were comfortable. Location was perfect for our group of friends. We will definitely be booking here again next summer!

Grandma's Christmas Gig With The Grandbabies

I've always had the grandbabies over for a Christmas weekend of games, Gingerbread & cookie decorating, dance lessons, and bonding with their cousins. When they were little it was easy to sleep a couple on a rollaway two on a sofa & 4 in the queen bed in our home's guestroom. Oh how they've grown! The Chillinois has hosted me, Grandpa & all of our teen & adult grandbabies for a couple years now and we'll be back again as long as my g-babies keep coming out for their Christmas gig. The space is perfect for our annual Reindeer Games & dance moves, sits right on the beautiful river, has plenty of roll out & pop up beds, and the kitchen layout is great for decorating our cookies. I have several grandbabies that are band members that totally dig the guitars, drums & xylophone which the host supplies along with a great karaoke machine and jacuzzi. Thank you Jen!!!!

Wonderful river cabin

We really enjoyed our stay at the Chillinois river cabin. The house is very comfortable and was stocked with everything we could possibly need plus more. We really appreciate the thought that went in to all that was available to use. Lots of space to explore and enjoy the river. Our dog loved the big space to run and play.

We were really impressed with everything at the property! I’m an overplanner/over packer and have to make sure that we have absolutely everything we need when taking a trip to the river. The host had me beat and had everything I had already packed with exception to fans for the rooms. We have some teens in our group who cannot sleep without them, but this is very minor. If you need hair products for colored hair, then you’ll want to pack that too, but otherwise, she has everything else. All dishes are available for you and there are nonstick pans and cooking utensils, all are in really good condition. I don’t want her to miss out on her continuous 10 star rating. As far as cleanliness, the primary shower could have been a tad bit cleaner on the shower door rails and

Best River Property!

This place was amazing! We had plenty to do; hot tub/spa, walk to/swim in/relax by the river, sing karoke, play music and games! Everything was so well put together. It really shows how much they care about the property and guests. The coffee bar?! Phenomenal! We didn't have pets with us but if we did, they would've been loved, too (treats, beds, etc). Our whole group loved this place and can't wait to come back!

River house

This house was amazing. Everything we need for a weekend getaway. It was right on the river (we even stopped by on our float). The house is decorated beautifully, the coffee/tea bar is cool, and they had awesome kitchen utensils and accessories

One of those special gems!

I love using VRBO to find unique/interesting places to stay. This is one of those amazing places. It really has something for everyone! My teens played badminton and loved the many yard games. My husband enjoyed the walks by the river and the spacious grounds. Everyone went crazy for the coffee/tea bar - way better than Starbucks! (Seriously try the Smores tea and froth your milk). I appreciated the incredible attention to detail. Decorated beautifully and stocked with everything you could possibly need/want. My daughter said it was so pretty; it’s how she would decorate her house someday. It’s clear the hosts put a tremendous amount of thought and love into this place. There’s a fire pit and a hot tub. Great for real s’mores, although we were too wiped from water activities to make them. The dog even had a ball. Everywhere we went people treated us like royalty when they heard we were staying at Chillinois cabins. Truly a special trip that my family will remember. Thank you!

Beautiful Location on the River

The property is beautiful with lots of deer, birds and other wildlife. House was very clean with comfy beds and linens. The back porch overlooking the river was amazing and there is a fantastic fire pit. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended!!!

Annual Sisters' Trip

This is a beautiful location and house is well-stocked with everything you could possibly need. Hostess went above and beyond to insure our comfort and enjoyment. Plenty of activities (games, bikes. canoe, hot tub) as well as peaceful riverfront nature setting. All furnishings are high quality and too many extras to list. Hostess is extremely responsive if contacted. Great experience.
