You cannot beat the location for one! The house is well thought out. So many extras from pots and pans to plenty of towels in the bathroom. Lots of space to move around from the living room and the kitchen. Each bedroom is equipped with a ceiling fan for hot evenings. Fully enclosed private backyard for my dog Duke. Lots of time spent on the back deck chatting with family and grilling hamburgers on the bar-b-que. It was pleasurable stay!

The host was excellent to deal with and provided a wonderful experience for our family. Very responsive and considerate of our time. The cottage has a welcoming layout, everything you would need is supplied and walking distance to the lake. A must if you want a lake experience this summer!

We enjoyed a relaxing week in Sylvan Lake thanks to this little gem. The owner is friendly and very responsive. For example, when I told her we would run out of dishwasher tabs before the end of our stay, she ordered some from Amazon and they arrived the next day. It is very close to the beach and the main street of Sylvan Lake - more like a 5-10 minute walk (not one), but still very handy. It was nice to have both front and back outdoor spaces, so we could have sun or shade, depending on the weather. There is a fairly well stocked kitchen - things like sugar, S&P, brown sugar are provided. A few things to be aware of: ā€œCozyā€ = small. It was okay for our family of four, but a tight squeeze when our kids each had a friend and they slept in the living room on the blow-up mattress. One bathroom for six is not ideal. There aren't enough places to hang wet towels and bathing suits for 4-6 people. It was quite loud in the neighbourhood, but itā€™s probably not like that all the time. Neighbours on both sides were doing work outside, one from about 9am to 9pm on a Sunday. It would be nice if the backyard furniture was cleaner. Lots of dust and spiderwebs. But I imagine that's hard to maintain. All in all a lovely spot if you don't need a lot of space or anything fancy. Can't beat the proximity to the beach.

This cottage is adorable and clean, and in the perfect location! We walked everywhere we needed to be. Maureen was a dream host, too - excellent communication and a very easy check-in process. Would recommend, and will be back!

I hosted for the young adults in my family here. And it was cozy. Had everything we needed to have a great stay without having to run out for anything! The location was perfect to run back and forth to the beach. Location felt safe and secure. The back yard is private, with ample greenery We would recommend.

Close to the beach and downtown. Was a great stay - host was very co-operative and helpful. Temps were in the 30's and there is no AC this was the only downside but it was a heatwave! Other than that it was great, we loved the outside patio area to hang out in!

Such a beautiful home, and Maureen our host is wonderful. She is very responsive to any questions and everything was exactly as it should be. Very clean with comfortable furnishings. Everything one could ask for is provided. We had a lovely stay. I would definitely stay with Maureen again. We plan to visit Sylvan Lake again in the warmer weather.

We loved this cottage. Did not want to leave!. Front deck for morning coffee, lovely quiet street, Kitchen fully supplied with everything .... Loved the cute sayings on the walls. The backyard deck was superb, we really enjoyed lounging on the patio furniture. Short walk to the marina area. The lake is so lovely. The host was so helpful with everything we needed.

This is indeed a very cute cabin with a terrific deck. Itā€™s super well-equipped (both kitchen and bathroom), clean, and quiet. Like almost eerily quiet! It was nice to have the little electric broom for quick cleanups when fall leaves came in. The bed was more comfortable than ours! The fenced yard made it easy to bring our dogs, and even though there are close neighbours, it seemed very private. It was on the cool side so we appreciated all the blankets and fireplace. Excellent 5G wifi, and the TV is loaded with streaming services. Great communication from owner. FIVE stars.

I have never seen a better equipped VRBO. I was surprised at how well stocked the cupboards were - both kitchen and bathroom. We wanted for nothing. It would have received 5 stars had it been cleaner. If a cleaning service is used they need to be reminded to clean window screens and sweep exterior house and fences of cobwebs. I would definitely rent this little cabin again. Oh, the jetted tub is heavenly!!!

The house is charming from the outside and just as charming inside! A very nice house, well-maintained with lots of room in the backyard. It is accessible to the beach and different restaurants. We would have no hesitation in returning to this property.

The location of this property is perfect, we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go, parking is crazy around the beach so this was so nice to park our car and walk. Host was super quick to respond, excellent communication. Not sure how it could have been any better.
