« The chalet was exactly as advertised and was spotlessly clean and well presented. There are 2 bedrooms..both are quite tight for space but comfortable. All the amenities looked newish and worked perfectly including TV, heated bathroom mirror (a godsend!) and kitchen appliances. Nice space outside for a BBQ with a table and 4 chairs. The real plus is the location. Genuinely less than a 10 minute walk through the village to Oxwich Bay which is a beautiful, long beach with great views. It’s nicely...

5. Beach Chalet at Caswell Bay, Mumbles, Swansea, Galles du Sud

Caswell Bay

« The chalet was spotless, comfortable and very well equipped. The proximity to the beach is excellent, a matter of minutes. We spent majority of the time at the beach but did take the coastal path to Langland (just over a mile) for lunch at the Brasserie on Sunday. Would highly recommend. The chalet site is well maintained and very peaceful, perfect for a relaxing evening. We very much enjoyed our break and look forward to returning. Thank you to Margaret for prompt response. »

« The chalet was a lot smaller than expected. In the main bedroom it wasn't possible to walk around the bed properly as the room is so small. The wardrobe doors couldn't be opened properly as there was no space. All of the furniture in the chalet was older flatpack furniture that was coming apart at the joints. The TV unit looked like it was about to collapse. We booked for 3 nights (the minimum allowed), but left after 2 nights as we couldn't bear the thought of a 3rd night in this cramped...

« Found another person’s dirty pyjamas under the bed. Non fan oven takes upwards of 20 mins to reach temperature and needs longer than stated time to cool meals. Shower seal is rotten. No WiFi or TV aerial - DVDs only; not the end of the world but for a total washout rainy weekend with 2 young children this would have been helpful. Great location with a beautiful beach at the end of the road, and in a hot spot for beautiful beaches in general. I think we just got unlucky with the most outdated...
