Leraan House. Historic home in Duluth/Superior

Step into a piece of history in our spacious and elegant 1925 home, beautifully blending original character with modern comforts. Located in a quiet Superior neighborhood, this home is the perfect retreat for your extended family or large group.

Gather your group in the grand dining room, which comfortably seats 12 under a sparkling crystal chandelier, or relax in the cozy living areas. The fully-equipped modern kitchen features stainless steel appliances, a coffee and tea bar, and everything you need to prepare memorable meals. Step through the sliding glass doors onto the backyard deck and spend your evenings around the fire pit—we even provide the firewood and a s'mores kit!

With 5 large bedrooms spread across three floors, there's ample space for everyone. The home includes 2 full bathrooms and 2 half bathrooms, ensuring convenience for your group. For those traveling with little ones, we provide a Pack 'n Play, high chair, and children's toys. A dedicated workspace is also available for any remote work needs, and four mini-split AC units keep the home comfortable year-round.

Guest Access
You will have private access to the entire home, including the large enclosed front porch and the backyard with its deck and fire pit. Enjoy a seamless self-check-in experience with our smart lock. Please note that the garage and a couple of small storage rooms in the basement are not accessible to guests.

Our home is your perfect basecamp for exploring all that the Duluth-Superior area has to offer. We are just a 12-minute drive from the vibrant downtown Duluth and the shores of Lake Superior. For outdoor enthusiasts, over a dozen scenic hiking trails are within a 20-minute drive.

Don't miss Pattison State Park, home of Wisconsin’s highest waterfall, only 15 minutes away. You can also explore the area's rich history by visiting the magnificent Glensheen and Fairlawn mansions.

We traveled from out of state to visit Lake Superior and chose to stay at this property based off of location, size of home, and past reviews. When we arrived to the property (just over an hour after check-in time), we found that it had not been cleaned after the previous renters. This was a huge surprise because only a day prior, the host had messaged us confirming our reservation. We immediately called the host about the issue, and he returned our call within a few minutes. He happened to be out of town, but worked with us to try to get some cleaners to the house. We ended up scrambling to find a hotel with enough space for our group of 12, and missed out on many of the activities we had planned for that night and the next morning. The cleaners had the place ready for us early the next day, so we spent the morning moving all 12 of us over to the house from the hotel. Fortunately, the host refunded us for the first night and paid the difference for our hotel rooms. He did everything he could to make things right for us.The rest of our stay was great! It was a very unfortunate start, but we all loved the home! It was stocked with extra sheets and towels, and plenty of kitchen supplies. The location is great too, if you're looking for somewhere close to Duluth!

A weekend get away in Superior

We had a girls weekend in Superior and stayed at the Leraan House. We enjoyed playing games at the large dining room table. The beds were comfortable and the heated floors in the bathrooms was a nice perk too. On street parking was plentiful. Kitchen was well equipped with dishes and cookware. If you stay ring the door bell...awesome!

Beautiful home, perfect for a small work retreat

Our group of 5 adults and one infant enjoyed our time at Leeran House. It was perfect for a small group retreat - the wifi was strong, the dining table was a great place to gather, the house was spacious and comfortable, close to restaurants and grocery stories. Communication with the host was great and check in was easy. We look forward to coming back for future trips to the area.

Awesome place to stay!

This house was PERFECT for a group of 8 adults! We were in town for a wedding, and this location was perfect for a short jaunt to the wedding venue in Duluth. The house is unique and very beautiful, well kept, super clean, spacious, and the host was AWESOME. Great communication, and a perfect location in a quiet neighborhood. Would definitely stay here again!

Family Getaway Weekend

Our family loved our weekend getaway!! There were 12 of us from 1 - 56. We played games, hung out by the fire pit and cooked food. The house was very spacious and had a lot of old-world charm. It left all of us wondering who built the house, who lived here and what did they do? If anyone had old pictures to hang and give a glimpse into the past ... it would add to the history of the home. The beds were comfortable, the home was very clean, and the kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook and serve a group. Our grandchildren loved the claw foot soaking tub and the air hocky table in the basement!! Thank you Troy you are a grand host!! if you are ever in Washburn WI stop in and see us The Fat Radish Family !!

Nice house, well kept, fun for adult family.

We enjoyed our stay, well kept victorian type home, all bedrooms up stairs, parking in back alley was only big enough for two large vehicles (otherwise three cars would have fit). Parking on the street is also an option but pretty crowded at night. Stove and fancy coffee pot was a bit tricky but we figured it out. If you're making bacon, keep kitchen doors closed because of fire alarm. Little 1/2 bath on 1st level by back door was very handy with just three steps. We would stay here again.

Super neat!

This is a very cool place to stay, super unique and fun! It has tons of bedrooms and a very large and well equipped kitchen. Highly recommend staying here, we had such a good time. We will look for it again when we return!

Perfect fit for our family thanksgiving

The home was perfect for our family of seven people. Plenty of seating and sleeping space. Kitchen and dining room was set up very well! Appreciated all of the extra touches like coffee and kitchen supplies. Bedding and towels were great! Very clean inside! We were a little disappointed in the cleanliness of the backyard and the surrounding neighbors yards. Did not feel comfortable sitting outside around the fire pit. No privacy! We also had local people cut through the yard.

Perfect house for a ladies weekend!

The Leraan House was large, clean, and very well stocked. We have stayed at many VRBOs in the area for our family ladies weekends, and this was the best stocked one with things like dishes, towels, toilet paper. The host is kind, helpful, welcoming. The house location is ideal, there are places to walk to eat out, and it’s a quiet neighborhood just a short drive to Miller Hill for shopping..

Superior Getaway

I was incredibly impressed with our stay at the Leraan House. The neighborhood was quiet, the house was amazing and our host , Troy was attentive and welcoming. Everything was exactly as he communicated, and I felt very comfortable with the rental. We were within minutes of everything we came to see and truly enjoyed our stay.

Great place for larger groups near Duluth

We greatly enjoyed our stay Leraan House. The house itself was fabulous. As the listing indicates, it was newly remodeled but keeps all the beautiful features of an historic home. There was plenty enough room for our larger party of 9 people. The accommodations were comfortable and household items that were needed were available on site. The house even included necessary items for our baby to stay including high chair and pack and play. Additional amenities, like fire pit and board games, were available, which were used and appreciated by our group. The property manager was very communicative and helpful, quickly responding when issues arose. The location allows for convenient access to Duluth and local parks and restaurants. We are very happy we found the Leraan House for our visit up to Duluth and it was one of the highlights of our trip.
