Your private place by the sea with private seperate entrance, walking distance to beach, restaurants/cafes, shops, cinema, major shops, surf club and public transport. Enjoy private bedroom ensuite, lounge with sofa bed if needed. Has tropical outdoor entertainment and bbq area. Fully enclosed. Free wifi access. Watch the sunrise over the ocean or take in the sunset from Pt Cartwright lighthouse. Great for coup

The space

Think of this unit as a pet-friendly motel room with its own private, secure backyard.

Step up (2 steps) to the deck area and relax on the 2 seats with a wine and your pooch after a walk along the beach. Cook up a BBQ and eat alfresco in the tropical garden.

You can prepare some basic meals or take advantage of your proximity to the Kawana Shopping Centre, Kawana Surf Club, and all the dining options at Mooloolaba.

* There is small table with 2 chairs for dining.
* TV which you can cast from your phone to or watch free to air tv.
* There is an alcove with simple kitchen bits.

Where you sleep:
* There is a queen bed with bedside tables and lamps - linen supplied.
* There is a split system AC in this room and a TV ( not a smart TV).
* There is a sofa bed which would be suitable for 2 children or one adult It is a sofa bed so not as comfortable as a proper bed. When opened up, it fills the little living area
* There is a small wardrobe to put some clothes
* There is a sliding door out to a little deck in the backyard with plantation shutters for privacy.

Bathroom
* There is a large en-suite attached to the bedroom with a shower (note there is no door between the ensuite and bedroom, but there is a door between the bedroom and living room).
* Shampoo, conditioner and body wash supplied to get you started.
* There are 2 toilets in the property (one in the ensuite and the other in between the living room and bedroom).


Important notes about the property:
* This little budget-friendly unit is at the back of the property and shares a wall with the front unit. While the shared wall has been sound proofed you can still hear people talking in the adjourning room and the sound of running water from the shower and washing machine at times. The front unit is also a holiday accommodation managed by us.
* The kitchen sink is outside on the back deck.
* There is a small meal prep area. We do not supply a cooktop, nor pots and pans.
* There is no onsite parking but plentiful street parking.
* You have to walk down the side of the property along a pebble and paved pathway to reach the unit.
* There are no blackout blinds
* There is no washing machine


Only a short distance from some favourite eateries - Kawana Hotel, Surf Club, or one of the many other cafes and restaurant in the nearby shopping centre

IMPORTANT Note: the unit is the back half of a unit that has been divided into two separate and private spaces. Some noise travels through the adjoining walls from the front unit, and sometimes, the hot water may temporarily run out as it is shared between the 2 units.

This is a friendly neighbourhood, patrolled beach, close to all amenities. You have bbq’s and gym equipment overlooking the beaches and estuary at La Balsa. There is a coastal pathway all the coast and through rain forest extending to Caloundra in the south and right up to Pt Cartwright.
Public transport is at Kawana Shopping centre just 270m away enabling you to get to Noosa, the Glass House Mountains and Hinterland, beautiful Mooloolaba and Caloundra and so much more.

Pt Cartwright lighthouse- 2.5km walk along a beautifully boardwalk for walking running cycling, LaBalsa cafe is great value looking into the estuary. You can enjoy the panoramic views on f the whole Sunshine Coast from Coolum to the hinterland Glass House Mountains and across the harbour to Mooloolaba
Newly refurbished Kawana Shopping Centre - 270m with restaurants (Indian, Italian, Mexican, Asian, Western etc), cafes, major supermarkets - Aldi, Coles, Woolworths, and gold class cinemas.

NOISE: The property is in a peaceful quiet neighbourhood. To respect the peace of the community - we kindly request no loud music or loud parties. Noise curfew 10pm.

EARLY CHECK-IN REQUESTS:
May be possible however we do recommend you to plan around a 3pm check-in. When your place is ready, we will let you know. If you require earlier access, consider booking the night before if available. If a guest is checking out on the day of your arrival, housekeeping needs time to prepare everything and we thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.

LATE CHECK-OUT REQUESTS:
May be possible depending on bookings and housekeeping schedules. Please reach out the day before check out to see if this is possible.

STARTER SUPPLIES:
We provide you with complimentary essential starter supplies for your stay. This includes shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toilet paper, and a few other items for your comfort. This is not intended to last for the duration of your booking but to avoid having to immediately head to the supermarket on arrival.

LINEN: We supply hotel quality linen and bath towels for your stay.

LONG STAYS:
All stays 14-28 nights must have a mid-stay cleaning service at an additional cost. This allows for our team to periodically clean, maintain, and inspect the property. This is non-negotiable.

CHECK OUT
We don`t want you to do a long list of chores before you check out. We just kindly ask that you put back furniture the way you found it (only if somethings been moved), stack the dishwasher and put the rubbish out. Our cleaners will do the rest.

AGE REQUIREMENT:
We do request that adult guests are over the age of 25 years of age. 18-24 years are welcome if staying with other adults over 25 years of age. Children are welcome.

INFANTS:
PORTA COT - Nil available at this time.

MANAGEMENT FEE - this is our damage waiver to cover any accidental damages so you don`t have to worry - see house rules for the details.

PETS: We are pet lovers and they are welcome upon application. The unit is suitable for 1 small dog. There is a small pet fee of $80 per stay.
- No noise after 10pm and refrain from causing disturbances to the neighbours to avoid having them complain to local authorities.
- Strictly no parties allowed. Infringement on this rule may result in eviction without refund. Any additional time for the housekeepers to attend or inspect the property outside of their usual cleaning will result in additional administrative fees.
- If there is any damage to the property please inform the host ASAP as additional charges may apply.
- In the event that keys are lost/ damaged/ locked inside the property any time during your stay or check-out, we may need to call a locksmith and additional expenses will be charged to your account. If the cleaner’s or property manager’s schedule is affected by this, further charges may apply.

It’s a good little spot with convenient access to the beach. It is small so take that into consideration, however as it was just myself and my small dog it was perfect. everything was great except the walking down the side to get to unit. hard to bring our belongings and one of our guest had a wheely walker. It was difficult for her to walk on the gravel. perhaps the pathers could be together in a straight line and not apart. This would also be good for bringing things in. overall it was a happy stay

Dirty and cramped

The floor was dirty when we arrived which we had to clean. Then we were told to put the bins out. Insulted by being told to leave the place neat and tidy which we always do. Access was appalling through two gates and down a narrow path with no lights. Further blocked access when neighbours parked enormous boat on driveway and we had to push through wet bushes to get to our room. Nothing was done about it. We were not told prior to check in we had to park on the road. I would not reccomend this place.

Small, tidy, modern Kawana Getaway - pet friendly

We stayed 3 nights, during Easter school holidays. 2 adults, 1 teenager and our dog. Property is small but clean and modern. Combined living, dinning area plus kitchenette in one room, plus master bedroom with large en-suite (shower and toilet), separate second toilet. Kitchenette has microwave, cutlery and crockery, but no stove or oven. Sink is (weirdly) outside. Basics like coffee, tea, longlife milk, salt, pepper, gladwrap, provided. Fold-out couch ok. No air-con in living area, ceiling fan only. Bedroom air-conditioned. Bed comfortable. En-suite not separated by a wall, so you're effectively sitting in the middle of the bedroom when you use toilet (no biggie). Linen and towels provided. Built-in cupboards, with extra sheets and blankets. Shower good, soaps/shampoos provided. Private courtyard behind, with small covered patio and paved area. BBQ and outdoor dining table. Clothesline. No grass for puppy. Lighting for back area is problematic, on a sensor, keeps turning off while you're out there. But there are torches and candles you can use. Property is part of a larger house, but completely separate. Parking is on street. Patrolled beach accessible from the next street over, <5 mins walk. Access to off-leash beach at Buddina also very close. Kawana shopping centre, with Woolies/Coles, coffee shops and takeaway options also within walking distance. Didn't appreciate host trying to sell us pillows through Stayz private DMs. All in all, nice spot, would stay again.

A lovely clean and comfortable stay, with a great private courtyard and comfortable bed in a quiet street close to shops and the beach. Really great for humans and pets alike. The only downside was that it advertised a kitchen when there wasn't one, except, fridge, microwave and outdoor BBQ, which was communicated after booking was made. However, overall, a great stay.

Enjoying Buddina

We enjoyed our stay in this accommodation. The venue is very well situated and close to the beach, shops and food areas. Buddina is a great spot for both humans and dogs. There are leash off beaches as well as patrolled areas for families. The house itself was large enough for the two of us and our two medium sized dogs. There would be little room for additional guests though. Our dogs are happy to hang around us and so they did not need a large area to run around in and thus, were happy outside on the deck. We did not realise that there was no grass though and this was a bit of a shame for the dogs. For the humans though, the deck area is very private and we felt very secluded in the lovely garden. We knew there was no full kitchen but if we went again we would take my daughter’s advice and would take the air fryer to add variety, as we spent a lot of money eating out in the end. We would also take extra microwave containers, so that we could eat in more. I think we would choose to go back to this venue though as, on the whole, considering accessibility and price, it was a good place to stay. It was clean and tidy and easy to keep in good order.

Great little hidaway

Lovely little place, my husband is not good on his feet, but we managed, the shower was very slippery, I needed to put the foot mat down in the shower, was afraid of falling, a hand rail in there would be a definite help. But yes we also loved the location, thank you very much to our hosts. Sandy Church.
