Welcome to our cozy countryside retreat, nestled in the heart of Amish Country. Whether you’re looking to unwind, explore, or simply take in the breathtaking sunsets from your front patio, this is the perfect place to relax and recharge.
We’re just minutes from some of the area's top attractions, including The World’s Largest Cuckoo Clock, The Farm at Walnut Creek, Walnut Creek Amish Flea Market, Berlin’s charming shops and antique malls, Rebecca’s Bistro, Walnut Creek Cheese, Ohio Star Theater, Amish Country Theater, The Age of Steam Roundhouse, and Black Gold Golf Course.
If you enjoy wine, you’ll love visiting Breitenbach Winery, Winetagous Winery, Han’s Place, Silver Moon, and Baltic Mills, all within 10 miles. Prefer craft beer? The Wooly Pig and Hoodletown Brewing are just a short drive away.
For nature lovers, our property is home to a purple martin colony that arrives in late March and stays through mid-August, providing a unique and entertaining experience for bird lovers.
Inside, we want you to feel completely at home. Our villa features a comfortable king-size bed, a full bathroom with a walk-in shower, and plenty of drawer and closet space for your belongings. A washer and dryer are available for your convenience, and the fully stocked kitchen includes all the essentials, along with a Keurig and K-cups for your morning coffee. The cozy living room offers a reclining sofa, chair, wireless internet, and a smart TV with Direct Stream TV or access to your favorite streaming apps.
For added convenience, the attached heated garage provides step-free, keyless entry, allowing you to securely park your car or motorcycle.

Regina and Mike, both are very welcoming, and their apartment is always very clan. They offer an array of snacks, though I bring my own. It is a fully equipped kitchen, has a dishwasher. The apartment has a washer and dryer.If you want to visit, they are happy to visit with you, but if you go to have some solitude, they respect that as well. You could not ask for a better place to stay. Did I mention the heated garage?

The welcoming snacks and great supply of coffee was great. We were pleasantly surprised that there was coffee for those of us who like it strong. The home was very clean and I loved the counter space in the bathroom and the garage was also a plus. Sunday morning was my favorite seeing the Amish buggies ride by. I loved Mike's story about his beloved Martins. We hope to stay there again next year.

Hopefully you can plan your stay for more than 2 nights. We wish we could have! This experience was much more than we anticipated. The photos don't do it justice. It was a spectacular place to stay in every way and the Hosts were very friendly and accommodating. We traveled in a restored antique vehicle so the garage was a sweet perk. We would definitely rebook if we are in the area again.

There is no more perfect place to stay in Ohio's Amish Country! This was our second stay here, and everything about it is top-notch. I have stayed in many VRBOs, and this one is the best equipped of all. Just when I would think, "I wish I had . . . " I would open a cabinet, and there it was. Everything has been thought of. It is clean, modern, roomy, and comes with a garage, which we really appreciated when it rained during our stay. Mike and Regina are incredibly nice and accommodating hosts. They make us feel like family. This is definitely a home away from home!

This was my second stay here and it was wonderful once again . Everything is spotlessly clean, the bed is comfortable, the water pressure is fantastic in the shower and the hosts are so kind and helpful. I enjoyed watching the neighbor’s horses across the road and I got to see a few purple martins this time . I hope to return again next year .

This was our best stay by far in Amish country. Home is beautiful and spotless. Host is wonderful, Apartment is very well stocked with kcups, toiletries, paper products ect. Host even leaves breakfast bars and oatmeal out for guests. Scenic views from property are amazing. Very close to all attractions.

What a wonderful place!!! The hosts are first class and are there if you need anything. The space was clean, comfortable and thoughtfully supplied with all of your necessities plus some delicious snacks! The beautiful setting is so relaxing. This home is close to everything! It was so wonderful watching the purple martins and learning all about them. We can't wait to come back.

WONDERFUL VACATION !!!

"SUNSET VIEW" is a truly beautiful place! Exactly as described on line. This was our 3rd 2 week visit We are from New York, but the 9 hour trip to get there is so well worth it. We have never been in a vacation rental as clean. (this is always my primary concern.) Owners are beautiful people - helpful and accommodating. Brochures and local info. galore. We hated to leave.

Sugarcreek Sunset Views

Wonderful rural location with gracious hosts. Location was excellent. The lodging was perfectly designed and met all our needs. Kitchen well appointed with appliances, utensils, variety of spices & cooking oils. The attached garage with garage opener was a bonus, especially as it started to rain upon our arrival. Thoroughly enjoyed an evening sitting on the porch watching the Purple Martins settle in for the evening. Loved the view of the surrounding hills and lush green fields. Looking forward to a return visit and highly recommend this location and hosts to others.

We really enjoyed our stay at Sunset Views. Mike and Regina are wonderful hosts. They provided everything we needed for our stay. The home is exactly as it is described- and so clean! We loved the bed and pillows. They were incredibly comfortable. I also really appreciated the use of the washer and dryer. The views are so peaceful. We enjoyed sitting on the porch watching the sunset and the horses in the field across the street. When we come back to this area, we will definitely try to stay here again.

We first stayed at Sunset View in July 2024. Found it to be perfect. Decided to try again in May, 2025. We were NOT disappointed! Mike and Regina are the perfect hosts. The home was spotless. Bed extremely comfortable. Conveniently located to restaurants and shopping But far enough away (out on the country) that it was quiet and peaceful.

Perfect Getaway

My husband and I had a perfect weekend stay at Regina and Mike's lovely "Daudi Haus" in Sugarcreek. We were impressed with the cleanliness of the home, beautiful sunset views, the story and singing of the "Purple Martins" each evening. The king size bed was very comfortable, the kitchen had everything thing needed for a longer stay and access to a garage to unload our baggages and groceries was an added bonus! This is a very peaceful and cozy retreat within easy access to many of Sugarcreek and nearby Amish places of interest that we enjoyed visiting. Regina and Mike are wonderful hosts who communicated in a timely fashion, provided brochures and suggestions of restaurants and places of interest and made sure our stay was perfect! We will surely return to this gem of a home away from home again!

Amish country getaway

Sunset view house was peaceful and quiet area . The house was immaculate. The king size bed was very comfortable. Has a washer and dryer for use while there . And the best perk was that the owners allowed the guests to park in the garage . My husband and I enjoyed watching the purple Martin’s fly around the yard . Mike and Regina have 6 purple Martin houses . Nice to see all the purple martins. Enjoyed seeing the Amish passing by the house. The sunsets were beautiful.

Exceptional property

Pictures were exactly how it was. Extremely clean and beautiful location with excellent views. The hosts replied timely and had thought ahead of everything we needed and then some. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend. Usually in this area we are away from where we are staying until evening, but I would plan an extra day just to relax and enjoy the views.

A place of respite.

I have stayed at the Sunset View several times. I have not been disappointed. Mike and Regina have been the best host and hostess. The apartment and grounds are meticulously kept. And in season, the Purple Marlins are so enjoyable to watch! Not to mention the horses across the road and sometimes the horse and buggies going by. If you want company, Regina and Mike are there, if you want solitude, they respect that as well. You cannot go wrong staying here.
