« Very close walk to the Alberta Rose theater and the many restaurants on the Main Street of Alberta. The only problem we had was getting in initially. The owner gave us a code for VRBO rather than Expedia which we had booked through. Fortunately she was home and came right over. It is a little difficult to find since the cottage is in the back of the address. From the photo, I remembered a large star on the front of the cottage and noticed a much smaller star on the fence at the alley...

« We love the uniqueness of this property, it was cozy and serene, the locked gate was especially nice as it made us feel extra safe. The Hawthorne area is quaint and loaded with dining and shopping options; while streets are busy it is quite walkable, and not far from gorgeous areas like Mt. Tabor Park. Comfortable couch and bed, small but well designed bathroom and kitchenette, both stocked with supplies to make the stay simple. « My wife and I really enjoyed our stay here. Some rentals don’t look like their listings, but this place was spot on and well taken care of. It was really close to some great food and drink options in the Woodstock neighborhood. It was also a great location to set off and explore the Portland area. We would definitely stay here again. »
