« We really enjoyed our stay at the Ponderosa cabin. It’s a log cabin so electric outlets are scarce. The cabin is off of the main road by about 9 miles of small twisting paved roads making nighttime driving a challenge. A really nice setting for a relaxing few days. Gary is very accommodating. »

« Wonderful place to getaway from the city. My family spent Thanksgiving here. The owner notified us our cabin was having issues with wifi so she upgraded us to a bigger one with a hot tub. The wifi was still a bit touch and go at first but it was raining and they use satellite. Make sure to print out directions so you can get in and out with ease. Cell reception is almost none existent. But if your trying to get away , you have found the perfect spot! »

« The property was well maintained and clean. They provide 4 kayaks for their guest. We didn’t use them but that’s a great added bonus. Make sure you bring bug spray if you’re going to be outside much. The hot tub was really nice to enjoy after an afternoon of paintball for my achy back too. Plenty of towels, extra blankets, and pillows. I’ll definitely stay here again on my next Patoka trip! »

« The host was wonderful. Easy check in/check out. We traveled with a 2 toddlers and 3 adults. The cabin was cute and cozy but outdated and honestly not super comfortable for a family although there were 2 queen beds. This fit our family fine because we didn’t spend a lot of time in the cabin. If you plan to spend time “hanging out” inside for long periods, this might not be the place for you. Otherwise very clean, easy to find (just a little off the beaten path) and we enjoyed our weekend stay! »

« This was perfect for what we wanted. We were less than 10 mins to the boat ramp. The cabin itself was just the right size for the 3 of us plus we could have fit more. We loved the fire pit with wood they supplied for us. Very quiet and remote. We will def be back for a summer trip. »
