With 2 bedrooms, a third private versatile room for sleeping or lounging, and 2 baths, the Resting Place comfortably sleeps 5 guests, making it ideal for families seeking a tranquil getaway. As you enter on the ground floor, a full flight of stairs leads you to the inviting second-floor living space where panoramic views of the lake await.



About the Space:

+ Large deck, covered patio, outdoor games, fire pit, and grill

+ 1 Smart TV in living room - Guests may log into streaming apps using their own accounts.

+ Dining table with seating for 4 (2 extra chairs provided)

+ Internet Wi-Fi (due to the rural nature of the property, Wi-Fi and cell phone coverage and service can vary)

- Bedroom 1 (upper level): Queen size bed, ceiling fan

- Bedroom 2 (upper level): Queen size bed, ceiling fan

- Bedroom 3 -additional sleeping space/ office (upper level): Full size futon; private space with a door that is also great for a child in a pack and play (not provided)



Bathrooms:

- Bathroom 1 (upper level): Full bathroom with combination tub and shower

- Bathroom 2 (upper level): Full bathroom with walk-in shower



Outdoor Area:

- Deck facing Lake Michigan on second level

- Patio table with 4 chairs

- Picnic table

- Charcoal grill (guests bring own charcoal)

- Fire pit with 4 chairs (firewood provided)

- Croquet outdoor game provided

- Room for up to 4 cars to park in driveway



Water Access:

+ Shore is rocky and shallow

+ Door County Land Trust Nature Preserve includes a sandy beach and is suitable for swimming, which is just minutes away

+ Public boat launch locations nearby



Home Truths:

- The waterfront access on this property is rocky and shallow. It's not the best for swimming. Just minutes away is Door County Land Trust Nature Preserve which has a sandy beach and is great for swimming.

- Guests do not have access to garage

- The entrance to the home is on the ground level and the living space is located on the upper level.

- Gas fireplace is for aesthetics only and is not for guest use.



This home is located in a quiet community with neighbors and is geared towards quiet family vacations. Due to the proximity of neighbors, we cannot accommodate parties at the property including bachelor or bachelorette parties, reunions, or other rowdy gatherings.



Please be aware that you must sign a terms and conditions agreement, which will be sent to you separately, to finalize your reservation.



Other Things to Note:

Amenity + damage protection waiver includes:

• Bed linens, pillows, blankets, and bathroom towels. (Please bring your own beach towels)

• A starter pack of essentials which includes toilet paper, paper towel, dish soap, dishwasher soap, hand soap, and garbage bags. Due to septic systems, we do not provide facial tissue. One each of travel size shampoo, conditioner, and body wash per full bathroom.

• PEACE OF MIND Damage protection covers up to $1000 per stay for accidental damage that is reported prior to departure (excludes any pet damage).
