    ✨ The Bohio Experience

Welcome to your Bohio—a term from the native Taíno people meaning "a comfortable home built from nature." Reflecting our Dominican roots and set beautifully in the Ozarks, this cabin is a private, wooded retreat designed to seamlessly connect you with nature.

    ✨ Key Features

Stunning Views: Enjoy a spacious main deck and a private master balcony perfect for morning coffee or stargazing.

Proximity to Nature: Nestled on a 42-acre estate just 2 miles (5 minutes) from the Red Bluff Recreation Area and right against the Mark Twain National Forest.

Modern Comfort: Relax with a 65-inch Smart TV, high-speed Wi-Fi, and cozy bedrooms. (Note: Cell service can be spotty depending on your carrier, so please download maps before arrival).

    🛌 Sleeping Arrangements

    Bedroom 1: King Bed

    Bedroom 2: Bunk Beds (Full/Twin)

    Living Room: Sofa Sleeper

🧺 Pack Light & Feel at Home!

We want your stay at the Retreat to be completely stress-free. To make you feel right at home, we provide those extra little essentials that make a big difference: coffee, hot cocoa, sugar, and a selection of spices. We also take care of everyday necessities like paper towels, dish soap, and laundry detergent.

Forgot to pack a toiletry? We’ve got you covered with a complimentary "Forgot Something" basket in the bathroom, stocked with travel essentials like new toothbrushes, sunscreen, and makeup removers so you can focus entirely on relaxing!

    🚀 Modern Comforts You'll Love:

We’ve equipped the cabin with premium conveniences that many standard B&Bs skip:

Convenience: A full in-unit washer and dryer.

Kitchen Upgrade: A modern air fryer for easy, quick meals alongside our fully equipped kitchen.

Travel Light: A high-quality blow dryer, clothes iron, and board games are already waiting for you.

🌊 Private Access to Shoal Creek

A Hidden Gem: One of the absolute best features of this property is our private access to Shoal Creek, offering our guests a serene, completely private connection to the water right on our 42-acre estate.

Nature at Your Doorstep: Whether you want to wade in the cool waters, explore the banks for local wildlife, or simply relax by the sound of the creek, it offers a peaceful, crowd-free Ozark experience.

🛶 Planning a Floating or Canoeing Trip?

The Retreat is a scenic, easy 30-minute drive from the popular Huzzah Valley Resort and Bass River Resort.

Many of our guests choose us as their ultimate floating weekend home base! You get the absolute best of both worlds: spend a fun day out on the water renting canoes, rafts, or tubes at the resorts, and then escape the loud, packed campgrounds at the end of the day. Come back to your own private, peaceful oasis to grill out, sit by the fire pit, and relax in true comfort.

🚐 RV, UTV & Camper Friendly – Private Basecamp

Easy Maneuvering: Our property features a massive gravel roundabout and a wide driveway, making towing a breeze. Whether you are hauling a large RV or a trailer full of UTVs/Side-by-Sides, there is no tight backing required.

Off-Road Ready: We offer plenty of secure, level ground to park your trailers and toys, a large covered eave for extra gear shelter, and a private gazebo area with a dedicated electrical panel and well-water access (perfect for dry camping setups or charging UTV batteries). Note: We do not have on-site sewage/dump stations.
