« This property was one of the best we have stayed at. It was everything we needed, the bedroom and bathroom luxurious. The kitchen area was the perfect size, stocked with a choice of coffees, teas and snacks. It’s perfectly located to go to the many wineries, restaurants and shopping in the area, It is an easy drive into Charlottesville. Our hostess was great, texting to check if we needed anything. « My wife and I used to live down the street. We never knew how nice the lodge is and how amazing the restaurant is. Honestly we would have gone there to eat all the time if would have even known it was there. It is the best restaurant in the area by far. « We just stumbled upon Lydia Mountain Lodge looking for a quiet retreat for New Year's Eve, but were pleasantly surprised that we did. Such a hidden gem in the Blue Ridge mountains. Clean, comfortable, warm, and rustic. We just stayed for a couple of nights in the middle of winter, but imagine it is even better in the warmer months. « We booked for the weekend for our 19th wedding anniversary. The ease of booking, checking in and checking out were very convenient. The room was clean and had a gorgeous view of the mountains. The restaurant was great and highly recommend. The staff was very pleasant. Our only issue was the driveway being barely enough room for two way traffic. But we will definitely be staying again. »
