The property is gorgeous. The location gives you great views of Red Hook and St John from the back window, sliders and pool. The house was well situated for our needs. The front bedrooms share a jack and Jill bath which was great for our young son and my wife and I. The master upstairs was very nice with a very nice master bath. The fourth bedroom had a full bath right across from it. It worked well for our 3 families (only 1 with a kid).The house does not have AC throughout. Each bedroom and the office have mini splits that worked well. The windows and large sliders did a great job cooling the main areas with just ceiling fans. We deliberated getting a rental or just using taxis. We ended up springing for a rental at the last minute and did not regret it. Aside from the narrow street leading to Cabrita Point, it allowed us to more freely go to the grocery (if you go to the store make sure your first trip is to cost u less- the savings are worth the extra 5-10 minute drive) and take longer trips like Magens Bay. Make sure you check the cruise ship schedule before planning a trip to the beach though. We made the mistake of going to Coki beach on a day when 5 cruise ships were in port. It was PACKED!The only negative thing I can say is the hot tub heater is âbroke.â. We like to swim at night and enjoy the stars. The water was too cold in late march so we were unable to. I still give it 5 stars though because we were forewarned by other reviews of that.
