The access code I was given was invalid. When I reached out for help, I received a series of scripted responses that read more like an automated bot than a real person. These messages supplied more codes that also failed, along with instructions for alternate entry options (back door, lockbox) that were simply not there. At no point was the host actually available to assist. I was locked out, had to book a hotel at the last minute, and lost nearly 200 since Vrbo only refunded their small service fee. After the fact, I discovered other guests have reported the exact same pattern with this company. This doesn’t look like a one-off mistake but a repeated setup.
