« It was an amazing experience.. The hotel is a very good location near the mall road. The hotel staff is very friendly and cooperative. It is very decently designed but the only issue we had was the mattress there. Otherwise really good property for the price we paid. highly recommended »

« We had an excellent stay - property is fantastic . Staff are very eager to help . The property is very close to the local train station - around 5 mins walk . Although the property is on the main road, the rooms are very quiet - especially ones facing away from the road. Overall we enjoyed the stay and will definitely recommend this hotel. »

« Beautiful rooms with comfortable beds. I'd stay here again if I ever find myself in Darjeeling. I lived it. The food was really good. You are able to walk a short distance to the train station. There is shopping and street food options around the area. I liked the location a lot. Excellent service as well! »

« The hotel staff is friendly, the hotel amenities are very efficient and effective, and the view of the mountains from the top two floors - is just fantastic.
Had a bit of a medical emergency, and the hotel had no immediate response. They did not know how to call a doctor, but they did provide a car to take me to the hospital next-door but did not offer the car service to come back. »

« Pauvre et froid l'accueil. Le buffet pour le déjeuner n'offrait que peu de choix. Pas de yaourt par exemple. Le service était confus- l'anglais pas compréhensible de certains employés est-il responsable? J'ai dû demander une tasse de thé à 5 reprises avant qu'on ne m'explique que c'était la faute de la cuisine s'il n'y en avait pas de prêt...Or nous n'étions qu'une poignée de clients attablés.
Le service WiFi était pratiquement inexistant- je n'ai pas réussi à envoyer un seul message à partir...

« Our stay at Sumitel was great. The staff was extremely friendly and took care of all of our requests in a timely manner, even when we ordered our dinner late, they accommodated us. We could see Kanchunjangha from our room, which was an added bonus. The front desk attendants and the night manager was also very friendly, including the kitchen staff Pranesh, Lakpa and Sovana. The only room for improvement I would suggest is Wifi, which was extremely slow. Otherwise a great stay. »

« Relatively good location close to down town sites. Clean rooms and hot water. Linens smelled fairly fresh. Screaming child till midnight somewhere downstairs echoed through the hotel. Staff was helpful in general. Buffet breakfast had 3 Indian options. Lots of options for food close by. Ok value for money. »

« Only problem was the extreme spicy food. not understanding that we cant eat such. I contracted bad food poisoning. Even had to make own toast. Very slow staff in kitchen. Desk staff exemplary, very kind and considerate - as we had not anticipated the coldness of Darjeeling. Disappointing that the Zoo and HMI were closed on the only day we were there and we enjoyed the Nepali dress, but need to explain about photos etc in the tea garden. Tea garden tour very informative, excellent guide. »
