Guests will have access to the entire property and garden.
The Neighborhood:
This coastal home, just a few minutes’ walk down the hill to Porthmeor Beach, offers the perfect escape in one of Cornwall’s most iconic seaside towns. Porthmeor Beach is ideal for swimming, surfing, and soaking up the sun, with golden sands, clear waters, and a laid-back beach café offering delicious food and coffee with sea views.
Art lovers will be in heaven with the Tate St Ives and the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden just a short stroll away, showcasing world-class modern art inspired by Cornwall’s dramatic landscapes. Wander the town’s narrow cobbled streets filled with independent shops, galleries, and restaurants, or enjoy traditional Cornish pasties and ice cream by the harbour.
Take a walk along the South West Coast Path for breathtaking views and explore hidden coves, or head to Carbis Bay and Porthminster Beach for more coastal beauty. You can catch the train there from St Ives which is a beautiful ride right around the cliffs edge. Boat trips run from the harbour to spot seals, or even dolphins in the bay.
In the evening, enjoy fresh seafood at one of St Ives’ many acclaimed restaurants or watch the sunset from the beach. With its artistic spirit, stunning natural beauty, and vibrant atmosphere, St Ives offers something magical for everyone.
Getting Around:
Due to the remote nature of Cornwall, a car is recommended for getting the most out of your stay here. And with parking for 3 vehicles available on the driveway, you won't need to worry about finding a spot amongst the hustle and bustle!
That said, St Ives is one of the best locations for public transport in the county. Trains run right into the centre and the station is only a short walk from the house. There are also numerous buses servicing the local area. Due to the central location of the property, you can easily explore the town on foot.
Other Things to Note:
There is a glass kitchen door and a glass coffee table at the property. Please keep this in mind, especially if you are staying with children who shouldn't be allowed to play nearby.
We make every effort to schedule gardener visits outside of guest stays. However, this can be difficult to guarantee during busier times. We will let you know if the gardener needs to attend during your stay.
Interaction with Guests:
We will be available via message, email and phone during your stay. Any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch!
