The Gathering Space is quality at its best! You can expect to arrive at a fully equipped, top notch, inviting home that will provide all the comforts you would expect of a perfect place to stay!

The Space:
Fresh, light, airy, bright, relaxing, contentment, and peaceful are all words you'll be using to describe this remarkable house. We are confident the excellent location, well equipped kitchen, new premium beds, quality bedding/linens/towels, well stocked bathrooms, and soft furniture will have you completely satisfied in your choice of stay.

SLEEPING ARRANGMENTS
Master bedroom: 1 King bed (Sleeps 2)
Guest bedroom: 1 Queen bed (Sleeps 2)
Kitchen/Dining: The dining area has a table for six, plus a kitchen bar that will seat four. Plenty of seating for your whole crew!
Patio: Seating for four and a propane gas grill.

STOCKED ITEMS
All of our properties are stocked with a starter kit for toiletries and kitchen supplies. We aim to meet the essentials for your stay, but anything beyond what is listed below (or if you plan to have a large group/long stay) you will need to provide for your stay.
Kitchen: Coffee, Sugar, Coffee Filters, Salt and Pepper, Potholders, Dish soap, Dishwasher pods, Hand Soap, Kitchen Hand towels and dishcloths, Paper towels, Trash Bags

Our stay was comfortable after we did some light cleaning. Dish sponge was old and grimy, there weren’t any backups had to buy a new one. Bathtub was slow to drain while in the shower. But after all of that we had a wonderful stay! Would definitely book again! Location was perfect for us!

This home satisfied the bare minimum requirements for a vacation rental. It was warm, the master bed was comfortable, the water was hot, and the oven worked. It was, however, dirty and shabby. We hand-washed every dish in the house due to finding multiple bowls, cups, and forks that were filthy with dried food. The kitchen drawers were full of food particles and detritus. The cupboards had long-expired food in them, and bathroom drawers had hair and trash in them.The dishwasher came pre-stocked with dirty dishes, and the fridge was sticky.It feels like a house was purchased, quickly flipped with low-quality materials, and then stocked with one quick visit to the Dollar Tree for random plastic cooking utensils, which are now either stained, melted, or unused with the stickers still on them.There were at least two broken blinds and a broken window; evidence of haphazard repairs makes this less of a high-quality aesthetic experience, and more like staying in someone's garage-turned-guest-room-on-a-budget.

Main bathroom tub does not drain.Paper products (tp, kleenex, paper towel) need to be upgraded. We bought are own.Lots of traffic noise.Sheets on king bed would not stay on.The house has great space.

Enjoyable stay!

We have stayed at quite a few places in Springfield and this home checked all the boxes. Beds were very comfortable, living room was cozy, and the home was very clean. The personal touches of the throw blanket and higher quality pillows was really nice. Only negative would be, maybe a larger coffee pot? However that is being extremely picky. Thanks for the nice accommodation

Thanksgiving stay

On a positive: The house was in a great location, just a short drive to wherever we needed to go. There was adequate space for our needs and the living/dining/kitchen area were great. The main negative centered around cleanliness. * Dishwasher was full of dirty dishes * Trash in the restrooms was not removed from the prior tenant * Dishes in the cabinet were also unwashed and had dry/crusty food on them. We didn't want to start our stay by cleaning the kitchen, but so be it. We really aren't ones to complain and we don't expect five star accommodations (see any of our previous reviews), Unfortunately there were a number of "little things" that just started to pile up. In addition there were other small issues like no replacement trash bags and a padlocked gate to the back area we thought would be available for our use. We were also told that there would be a house information book which would address all basic information (wifi info, trash protocol, checkout, etc) Nothing. We addressed issues with the host, but there was truly no resolution offered, just an apology. Guess we were spoiled by some of our previous rentals. Despite the problems listed, it was still a comfortable stay, we made the best of everything. As stated, all the "little things" just started to add up.

Great location, close to everything yet quiet for sleeping

Stayed here with my almost 80 year old mother to visit her 88 year old sister who lives in Springfield. Our stay was perfect with two great bedrooms and 2 baths. Location was close to everything. Great communication, clean house with everything we needed to have an amazing stay. Special bonus with wonderful variety of games, books and DVDs. We will definitely be back

Loved our stay

We absolutely loved how close this house was to everything. We have a 3 year old and an almost 2 year. They had a blast. They had a portacrib. But maybe get a high chair? We loved having the extra fenced in area that we could lock. And having the washer and dryer. We would 100% stay here again!

Great place to stay near MSU

We stayed while visiting our son who attends MSU (about a 7 min drive from the campus). Very clean and nice house. The only issue is we set off the security alarm when we got there because the code to turn off the alarm wasn't on the check in instructions. However, the management company answered the phone right away and gave us the code, so their prompt response keeps my review 5 stars. I do wish they had extra blankets available, but we would definitely stay there again on our next trip back to visit.

The Gathering Space

Nicely updated home in a convenient location with Groceries, Gas Stains, and restaurants all in walking distance. Surprisingly quiet street given how close it is to Glenstone, but no road noise in the house to speak of. Secure parking behind lockable fence. The owner really put a lot of thought into amenities for his renters as Kitchen, Laundry and Bathrooms had everything a person could need. Not usually the case in a rental property so really appreciated the thoughtfulness of this owner.
