Skiathos (Greek: ÎŁÎșÎčÎŹÎžÎżÏ‚) is a small Greek island in the northwest Aegean Sea. Skiathos is the westernmost island in the Northern Sporades group, east of the Pelion peninsula in Magnesia on the mainland, and west of the island of Skopelos.
Skopelos (Greek: ÎŁÎșÏŒÏ€Î”Î»ÎżÏ‚) is a Greek island in the western Aegean Sea. Skopelos is one of several islands which comprise the Northern Sporades island group, which lies east of the Pelion peninsula on the mainland and north of the island of Euboea. It is part of the Thessaly region.

Skopelos Town by night. Skopelos is a wonderful Greek island with an authentic feel and most certainly my favourite. Reputed to be the greenest of all the Greek islands it is covered in pine forests. It is also relatively unspoilt as it does not have an airport & is not the easiest island to get to. Like nearly all the islands however it can get busy at the height of the summer. The main town tumbles down to the harbour through a mass of narrow streets where rubbish is still collected by mule. The tavernas abound with live music & several well known Greek musicians live and/or perform regularly here.
