The wife, I, and our retired service dog enjoyed our three days stay. There is no Air Conditioning, however with windows open, fresh air and the fans, it was pleasantly comfortable.
My family had a fun and relaxing experience at this cute vintage cabin. Troy had it set up so that no details are overlooked. It is fully stocked with everything youâll need. The rooms and beds are cozy with plenty of pillows and blankets and the windows are fabulous. The bunk house is roomy. There are plenty of dishes, pots/pans, appliances, fans, personal products, board games, fans, etc. outside there are extra chairs, a garbage and recycling can, fire pit and plenty of water toys. The lake breeze coming into the cabin is refreshing. I plan to come back with friends for another stay over the summer. I appreciate the communication with Troy, the ease of check in, the cozy cabin and the lake. It is obvious that Troy has considered everything for visitors to have a great stay. A couple of things to be aware of- I was looking forward to using our vacation to train my dog to swim but I wasnât aware that there was a leash rule until we arrived so we were unable to follow through with this plan. I also did not realize this was in a retired resort where a larger vrbo cabin had 16 people (an extended family of adults and children) staying right next door to us. If you are looking for a more private place, this may not be for you. There are five additional cabins with independent owners on this property.
We ended up leave this cabin because of the mouse droppings. Let alone there was no curtains on the front window which was a sleeping area. We contacted Troy and he apologized and gave us a refund. I would also like a full refund from Vrbo.
Large family gathering at lodge next to this cabin. Needed the extra bed space. Cabin is very tiny, bunk house essentially a shed with bunks inside. Screens on windows in poor repair. Super small space..we did not use much but front bedroom for 2 teens and bunkhouse for 2 brave teens. It was not clean.
We have visited this cabin for five years in a row now. The location overlooking the lake can't be beat and Troy literally has thought of everything guests could need, right down to spare electronics charges. It has become such a special place for us, so much so that we chose to exchange our vows here this year. We will be back again next year!
This cabin is a gem. Troy was an amazing host, we were well taken care of and the cabin was stocked with everything we could possibly need during our stay. The bedroom surrounded by windows overlooking the lake is straight out of a fairytale. Absolutely beautiful. Our daughters (ages 9, 7 and 4) had such a great time. We enjoyed bon fires, swimming at the beach, playing board games, fishing off the dock and making the kind of cabin memories I remember as a child.
Great vintage-style cabin with an amazing lakefront setting offering everything we needed for a long weekend - we fished, rowed, paddled & grilled, utilizing just a few of the outdoor amenities! Thanks for another awesome stay - love Lincoln Lake.
This is our fourth summer at this delightful rustic cabin directly on Lincoln Lake. There's no better recommendation than this. We will back for summer number five.
We had another great summer week at this delightful location. The bedroom facing the lake is just awesome. The owners really provide so many little things to make a stay as easy as possible and are great with communication. This is such an easy place to relax and slow down for a bit. We will be back again for sure!
My partner and I had an amazing stay at this cabin!. The place was very clean, very comfortable and Troy had included a lot of amenities that were great to use. I highly recommended staying here it was a great time 10/10
First time at this cabin & with this mix of people. Space was tight & it was difficult to organize where to put our stuff. This was the most rustic cabin we've ever been in. Needed cleaning upon our arrival. Cabin is 1 small kitchen with barely enough room for 4 chairs. There is just 1 bedroom and a back porch with a very squeaky bed in it. View of the lake from bed was great. Fortunately we had rope with us so we could hang a line over the bed to hang our clothes up. We caught some nice blue gills from kayaks.
Fantastic location on the top of Lincoln Lake just north of Spooner. Just a great place to relax and plenty to do on the water. Lucked out that the weather was wonderful with nice thunderstorm at night. Second time here and will be back again!
We needed a weekend away from the city, and this was perfect. I prefer the âold schoolâ places like this - a traditional lake cabin, mid 20th century style, dogs allowed... Fully supplied (except food of course). Clean rooms, lots of blankets (and space heaters) for a cool fall weekend (be prepared if youâre here when itâs below 50°, long underwear recommended). Kids in the bunkhouse - perfect. We would have gone swimming were it a tad warmer - the beach is really cool. Host is very responsive and helpful - no complaints, only kudos. Killer price. Cheers!
The location was absolutely perfect. The cabin was perfect size for 7. We enjoyed spending the day outside with all the water activities and nights either by the fire or hanging out insider playing cards. The owner was very helpful leading up to our stay and made for an easy vacation.
The good: absolutely killer location right on a serene, quiet, unspoiled lake; steps away from kayaking, swimming, paddle-boating, etc. There's a little beach perfect for kids.
The view from the main bedroom is hard to beat- fading off into slumber while gazing at the moon, serenaded by the rustling of leaves and lapping water will not soon be forgotten.
Convenient to Spooner for all necessities- groceries, etc
Cabin is generally well stocked with cookware, and various extras.
The not as good: for the price being asked (while not at all unreasonable), one can justifiably expect a somewhat higher level of cleanliness. Obviously, this is not a luxury resort. However, the cabin can stand a thorough "spring cleaning". There were a number of food items found under furniture from previous occupiers. I imagine the cleaning window of time between clients is very tight, so I can cut some slack. But overall, things could be tidier.
Secondly, the dresser drawers are used for cabin supplies of various kinds, so we lived out of our suitcases- but this was a minor inconvenience.
Other than that, no complaints. I would highly recommend this little piece of heaven.
This is our third summer staying at the cabin and once again it was the truly peaceful place we needed to relax and rejuvenate. We can hardly wait to come back next year!
The location is nice.
Upon arrival the key wouldnât open the door & stayed stuck. You walk into a hot steamy smelly boys locker room.
We scrambled to open windows & turn on fanâs so we could attempt to cool it off.
We went down to the lake to cool off only to notice either the property manager or owner was circling the parking lot to
(See if we had arrived. Blue Dodge suv, the next morning he told me that my dog needed to be on a leash all the time. She was however swimming with me and is my service dog. )
This is a nice place if you have no sense of smell ( avoid the bunkhouse if you do) or care that cobwebs are hanging from the ceilings.
I would ask that they make an adjustment to the listing making sure people know that even on the hottest summer days there is no AC, and the place will be hotter than - well you know.
