The host showed zero empathy by not letting us cancel the reservation when there was a huge storm on the weekend and they seem to not care. Not only they wouldn’t give any money back, but we couldn’t even choose a new date to reschedule. We ended up making arrangements to go on the date that worked out better to them, like if we lived ten minutes away from the house and it was something to do. But we did it in the end so we wouldn’t lose our money. What do we find when we get to the place? 1. The hot tub wasn’t working: we had to spend around three hours trying to fix it since all the help we received was the host sending us videos on YouTube. I’m sorry but we are not technicians, that’s not our job.2. We wanted to try to use the grill too, but the roof was leaking all the snow that was melting from the deck. The deck was covered in snow and we had to shovel and clean it up so it would stop leaking. Not our job either, like: were you not expecting us to use the deck either?3. All that work for nothing, because we came to find that the grill was all dirty and we would have had to clean it to use it as well.4. We couldn’t even use the ping pong table or the billiards since the garage was OVERFLOWING with trash bags. We couldn’t stand the smell and we had to go back inside.It was overall a terrible experience and it kind of feels like if anything we should be the ones charging you. We expected everything to be working smoothly since we agreed to all of your terms.
