« Looked ok in reception but that’s as good as it got , very out dated and not a great deal worked in the room . Very nearly boiled the kettle for a coffee in the morning before looking in it . Never seen anything like that before . When reeling off the stuff wrong with the room the staff were not bothered at all . Was charged £130 for the night and wouldn’t have paid £30 if I had a choice . »

« We had previously eaten at this hotel and were so impressed that we decided pay another visit and stay the night. We were not disappointed. The room was excellent. Every member of staff we met were warm and friendly and the cooked breakfast was superb. Appledore is such a lovely destination and a stay at the Royal George makes it all the more special. We'll be back! »

« The hotel is a bit in the middle of nowhere. Otherwise, the room is clean and comfortable, the bathroom clean and big enough. The breakfast offers quite a variety of food. »

« Cadre bucolique, vieille ferme du 18ème que Sir George et Lady Caroline ouvrent au public pour des séjours de détente. La grange a été transformée en chambres d'hôtes, décors et tailles différents, mais toutes très jolies, confortables avec salle de bains modernes. Le plancher grince parfois un peu beaucoup, mais cela nous rappelle l'authenticité du lieu. Vue sur le jardin et les nombreuses fleurs, les oiseaux, volailles en liberté: un vrai petit coin de paradis! Sur demande, Lady Caroline...

« Our 2nd stay at the Sailors Rest...Nice room with fantastic views & a huge king size bed... Great shower & mini fridge with fresh milk & water ...nice touch. Happy with our 1 night stay in Beautiful Appledore & hopefully will return to the Sailors Rest in the future. »

« Le plus : parking, bonne restauration, l'accueil Le moins : Petit-déjeuner essentiellement anglais, pas de continental. Prix exhorbitant pour le petit chien non mentionné sur le site (nous n'aurions pas pris cet hôtel si nous l'avions su). Un doute sur le change des draps »

« Arrived late at our stay and then realised that we had in fact booked for the weekend after! Disaster after a 6 hour drive and very little options. We apologised and explained the error to our host. Amazingly and also luckily the host immediately went to work setting up an alternative glamping pod for us to stay in. The place was immaculate, hosts are extremely friendly and everything about the trip was perfect and as described. We will certainly be returning. »

« A last minuet birthday break for my wife. Usually like contempory hotels but this quaint beautiful hotel was amazing. Beautiful decor comfy bed and amazing staff who could not do enough for you. We had milk in the room instead of using the pot cream... they even brought a little fridge for in and on the next night the fridge had a new bottle of milk.. absolutely amazing staff. 11 out of 10 and thank you for making our stay so pleasurable. Will hope to return. Thank you RP. »
