  • Summary:

    Las Verandas #102 on South Padre Island just wrapped a complete, top-to-bottom luxury renovation in April 2025 — and it shows. This ground-floor 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom condo sleeps up to 6 guests and is one of the best family vacation rentals on South Padre Island. Walk straight in from the parking lot — no stairs, no elevator — drop your bags, slide open the patio door, and your kids are already eyeing the pool.



    The Space:

    The open floor plan feels brand new from the moment you walk in. The kitchen features swirl white quartz countertops, all-new appliances, and everything you need to put together a full home-cooked meal. Bar stools at the counter are perfect for casual family breakfasts, and there is a clean workspace tucked in if you need to knock out some work while the family relaxes.



    The living room flows right out to the private patio with comfortable padded seating — equally great for morning coffee or a happy hour margarita. A new smart TV and a collection of board games make for a proper screen-free family night (yes, we provide them — go ahead and bring those back). High speed wifi + handy washer and dryer included free.



    The Bedrooms

    The master bedroom has a queen bed, a gorgeous walk-in quartz-tiled shower, high-end finishes throughout, and its own smart TV.

    The guest bedroom is set up as the kids' ultimate retreat: two sets of bunk beds that sleep 4, making this one of the rare South Padre condos with a dedicated kids' bunkroom that families consistently rave about. A fully remodeled bathroom is just steps away and also has its own smart TV.



    All-new hard-surface flooring runs throughout the unit — a smart choice for allergy-sensitive guests. (That same freshness is also why we are unable to allow pets — the renovation is simply too new.)



    The Patio & Pool

    Step off the patio and you are right at the kid-friendly pool, which overlooks the beautiful Laguna Madre bay. It is the kind of setup where you can sit outside with a drink and watch the kids splash around without moving a muscle. The pool is yours to enjoy throughout your stay, and the whole complex feels calm and private — nothing like the crowded resort pools on the strip.



    About Las Verandas & the Location

    Las Verandas is a gated, high-walled community on South Padre Island — quiet, safe, and family-focused. It sits about one block off the beach, a few blocks walk to the beach access point (all South Padre Island beaches are free and open to the public). We strongly recommend bringing a large beach wagon — grab one from Walmart before you arrive — to make the walk easy with all your gear.



    Within three city blocks you will find Bar Louie, Clayton's Beach Bar, Barry's Bistro, and Kelly's Irish Pub with late-night bites. About five blocks out, Coral Reef Bar is a local favorite with karaoke every single night of the year. Just on the other side of the ramada is a souvenir shop stocked with candy, ice cream, and all the little things you forgot to pack.



    Just 50 yards from the front door is Sea Turtle Inc. — the #1 interactive sea turtle rescue facility open to the public, and arguably the best rainy-day activity on South Padre Island. For a nicer dinner, Captain's Cove waterfront restaurant on the channel is about 1.5 city blocks away — same owners as Yummies and Viva Luxe, so the food is excellent. A cigar bar sits about 100 yards away, if that's more your speed.



    Two reserved parking spaces behind the gated entrance are yours for the duration of your stay — private, off-street, and secure.

    Important Notes — Please Read Before Booking



    This is a family-oriented property. No loud music, no parties — no exceptions. Quiet time begins at 9 PM. The pool officially closes at 9 PM, though quiet guests are typically welcome to stay in a bit longer.

    The patio faces the courtyard and is not super private— lovely and private, but not a view unit. The beach is a few blocks walk, not a 2-minute stroll. We are upfront about that so your expectations are set correctly and your stay exceeds them.



    Max occupancy is 6 guests including children and infants. Primary guest must be 25 or older. There is a strict minimum night stay — please inquire if you have questions. If you plan to use the sofa or the provided air bed (pump included), please bring your own bedding for those. No BBQ on premises. Please remember that while we have the highest grade internet/wifi, we are on an island and the internet is exclusively provided by spectrum and goes down from time to time. We do not offer compensation nor refunds if this does happen – so please have a hot spot enabled cell phone if you have important work to complete while on vacation.



    Discounts Available

    We offer discounts for: off-season stays (Sept 15–Dec 15), stays of 5 nights or more, stays of 21+ nights, veterans and active military, and current Texas tackle football coaches (our sons play for Lake Travis in Austin —GOCAVS!). Just send us a message and ask.



    Policies & Booking

    Primary guest must be 25 or older. A signed digital rental agreement and valid photo ID are required before check-in. No smoking, no parties, no loud music — no exceptions. Pets are not allowed.



    Self Check-In

    Professionally managed by South Padre Trips — the #1 reviewed vacation rental company on South Padre Island. Door codes are sent via text by 3 PM on your arrival day. The office is at 2600 Padre Blvd, and phones are answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for your peace of mind. Two reserved parking spaces are secured behind the gate — there is no additional guest parking.



    Supplies

    Starter toiletries and cleaning supplies are provided — hand soap, trash bags, dishwasher pods, etc. — but are not unlimited or replenished. Clean linens and bath towels are included. Bedding for the sofa or air bed is not provided, so bring your own if needed. For stays of 3 nights or more, complimentary linen and towel exchange is available at the South Padre Trips office.

    Getting Around:

    Getting around South Padre Island is easy! You'll have two reserved parking spaces right behind the gated entrance, offering secure, off-street parking for your convenience. The condo is located about a block from the beach, making it a short walk to the sand. For longer trips, consider using a ride-sharing service or taxi. The island is easily navigable, and many local attractions are within walking distance or a short drive. You can also rent a golf cart for a fun way to explore the area. Public transportation options are limited on the island, so a car is recommended. The nearest major airport is Brownsville South Padre Island International Airport (BRO), about a 30-40 minute drive away.
