But as the sun comes up each morning, step outside on the private balcony to gaze east across the Gulf of Mexico. Thanks to the island's year-round warm weather, it's never a bad day to borrow a boogie board from the HOA and spend the day splashing in the turquoise Gulf waves. Spend the day on an eco-tour, gazing at the local dolphins, or charter a fishing boat to search for plentiful red snapper, grouper, and kingfish. You'll also be just two miles north of Schlitterbahn Beach Waterpark, where you'll find 13 indoor and outdoor waterslides on 25 acres of beachfront property.
