Beachfront Sapphire Luxury 23rd Floor Condo rental with magnificent views of the Gulf of Mexico. Sapphire Condo 2302 can accommodate up to 8 guests, and is your perfect luxury vacation getaway. Located on the 23rd floor of the North Tower, the condo provides amazing 180 degree views of the beach and the Gulf of Mexico. It is located high enough above the neighboring buildings to have miles of unobstructed views of the beautiful island beach both north and south. A separate private balcony across the hallway (opened upon request) offers great views of SpaceX launches and facilities, the fireworks shows (seasonal) and sunsets from the other private bay-view balcony. (Sorry at this time the electric BBQ on our back balcony does not work and we are waiting to see if parts are available.)
The condo is fully furnished to provide you with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The living room has a large 65” Smart TV and the Master TV is equipped with Roku service (you bring your login to stream your shows). We provide you with beach towels, beach chairs, and even two Yeti's (don't steal them, that's not cool). We offer all you will need for your vacation including: bath towels, hand towels, face towels and beach towels (enough for 8), hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner, and bodywash. The Concierge is a phone call away if you need directions or suggestions on what to do.
FULL DISCLOSURE UP FRONT: If you like to party, get drunk, make loud noise and let your kids run wild, this is not the condo for you, I would recommend you find a different one. However, if your goal is to find a fully-loaded luxurious beach condo, worth the $ you're paying, where you can enjoy quality time with your significant other or family, like to keep things clean, have well behaved children, and save on fees with your second rental, then this IS the condo for you. Here's a few items to be aware of with renting our condo from the Sapphire:
RESORT POLICIES: - Between Memorial Day thru Labor Day, Sapphire requires min of 3 nights for rentals. -Spring Break/Holy Week Restrictions: during these weeks the condo can only be rented to one family or couple. No groups or mixed rental. Directly related Family only. -Maximum Occupancy: 8 guests (includes infants or children) Vehicle Maximum: 2 vehicles (includes golf carts, boat trailers, or any other recreational vehicles) -NO SMOKING: No smoking allowed in this condo. -NO Pets &/or Service Animals of any kind are not allowed in our Condo. -Wristbands are required for all guests, at all times. -NO GLASS: you will be fined for bringing glass out of the condo or on the beach. Believe me you don't want that fine. Leave glass in the condo. -NOISE Policy: Please be respectful of those around you. Please be respectful of how loud you are in and around the condo. The Sapphire is also home to permanent residents. You are the guests. -RUDE Behavior: Any loud or rude behavior will NOT be tolerated. The Sapphire management reserves the right to EVICT anyone who is rude, drunk, misbehaving or not abiding by the Sapphire Policies. You will NOT be given a refund if you are evicted, and can be fined. This is not a party resort, so if you're into that scene, don't book here.
FEES and TAXES: I apologize for all the dang fees you have to pay booking through these platforms. Believe me I wish you didn't have to. I believe in transparency. I've tried to help with some of them on my end by lowering rates and covering fees for you to offset it. But some of them I can't help.
-Resort Fee: As a guest at the Sapphire, there is a daily resort fee. This fee ranges from $44-$49 per night (Seasonal). This is mandated by the Sapphire for rentals. -Cleaning Fee: This fee has increased in past years. The Sapphire has in-house cleaning. This Fee is exactly what they charge me and passes straight to them. -HOT Tax. This fun one is called the Hotel Occupancy Tax. Its brought to you by South Padre Island since they consider Short Term Rental as a hotel on the island. This is hefty and adds up to an additional 11% and goes to help beautify the island. -Sales Tax: Texas Sales Tax. 6% -VRBO Platform Fee: Sorry about this one. It used to be less years ago but then they decided to make it a "commission based". Unfortunately the consumer takes the hit on this one. But we have no way around it, nor see any of this $.
All we ask is that you take care of our condo, abide by the Rules and Regulations, and prove to be a good tenant. You'll be put on our "Good List" and your next stay won't be nearly as expensive. Win-Win for both of us.
We do offer discounts for "long-term" stays over 2 weeks, and "monthly" rates. And no HOT 11% taxes on stays over 28 days. Special Rates for Winter Texans Dec-Feb. Please message me directly to find out more information and how the rate can be adjusted for you.
IMPORTANT: Please note that, in addition to rental units, The Sapphire is a residential property. Many of the units are occupied by owners that live here full time. Upon booking, you will receive a list of the Sapphire's rules and regulations. Guests are asked to respect and obey the Sapphire's rules so that everyone can enjoy their time at the resort. This note is to emphasize the fact that the Sapphire vigorously enforces these rules. Failure to abide by them may result in fines and eviction. Refunds will not be given to any guest that is evicted as the outcome of breaking any of the Sapphire's rules and regulations. You're paying good money to stay here, so act like it. If you want to party hard and make a ton of noise, go to the Margaritaville next door.

This condo unit is non-smoking, no pets, privately-owned and immaculately maintained. With large windows and its 10 to 12- foot ceilings throughout, upon entry into the condo you immediately encounter the expansive gulf views from the living room windows. This unit has the largest balconies offered at the Sapphire, so plenty of space to just chill and enjoy the view.
Each bedroom has soft Cotton linens and towels. The master bedroom has a king bed, 12 foot ceilings and an oversized window with a picturesque view of the beach, large dresser, desk (workspace) and chair, large bathroom, and large walk-in closet with another dresser. The second bedroom has 2 queen beds, and the third bedroom now has a queen bed.
Other items provided are board games, small DVD library, and Wifi. Our condo also has a washer and dryer in a separate utility closet, to help with any small loads you may need to do during your stay.
Sapphire guest amenities (Here's your resort fee) includes a Texas size whirlpool, a palm-tree-lined huge swimming pool that reaches out 300 feet towards the beach – perfect for play or lap swimming. Relax at the pool side chairs or rent a cabana --they are on a first come first serve basis so you will need to wake up early for the chairs in the heavy summer season, or see the concierge about renting a Cabana for the day.
A large state-of-the-art fitness center with Cybex equipment, a Movie Theater (seating for 24), a Game room / Teen room equipped with pool table, shuffleboard, foosball, pin ball machines and computers, complimentary WIFI, and a 24-hour Front Desk. Rejuvenate and pamper yourself in the Sapphire full-service Spa (Extra charge onsite), or enjoy a 10 minute walk to a variety of restaurants (Pizza, Sushi, Burgers), or hop in the car for a 5 min drive over the Causeway to Port Isabel for more dining options, and Wal-Mart.
Definitely the highlight of this condo, besides the view, is the close proximity to the beach. Once down the elevator and outside the back door, its a 100 yard walk through the best pool resort in South Padre Island, passing through the security gate and down a wooden deck to the best beach on the island. Upon return, there are hoses and showers to rinse off all the sand before coming back in.
