Summary:
Our ground-floor beach condo has a garden view and a covered private patio all steps from the sun, sand, and sea! Enjoy a comfortable family-friendly stay with comfortable furnishings and stylish decor, a fully equipped kitchen, a dining table, and Smart TVs in every room! Plus, you’ll be inside the exclusive and gated Bahia Mar resort with access to amenities like two pools with hot tubs, a large beachfront sun deck, tennis and pickleball courts, a playground, and walking trails!

The Space:
Enjoy a delightful coastal getaway from our garden-view condo with all the comforts of home and a covered outdoor patio with table and chair seating to enjoy the sea breeze and tropical landscape.

As you enter, you’ll be greeted by a bright and airy open layout with a sleek and spacious kitchen and shiny stainless steel appliances so you can prepare meals at home. Plus, extras like a coffee maker, blender, toaster, and dishwasher! There’s a convenient breakfast bar with three bar stools for a quick snack, coffee, or to work on your laptop if needed.

When you want a more relaxing sit-down meal, there’s the dining area, where you’ll find a table that comfortably seats six with lush views. The living room area features a plush sofa facing the large flatscreen Smart TV with cable. It's perfect for relaxing moments at home with your favorite shows or watching a movie together after a fun day of seaside adventure.

When it’s time to rest and retire for the night, there are two comfortable bedrooms to sleep 8 guests. Both rooms have two queen beds and Smart TVs! Bedroom 1 has a private ensuite bathroom, while Bedroom 2 can access the second full bathroom just across the hall, shared with the living area.

Additional highlights include WiFi for streaming TV services or working on your laptop, a washer and dryer and ironing equipment, linens, towels, beach towels, shampoo, hairdryers, 2 car parking spaces onsite.

The beach and ocean are seconds away. You can splash in the sea or the two large pools onsite, each with a hot tub! Bahia Mar has a large beachfront deck where you can read a good book or simply gaze and relax to the sound of the waves with easy access to the beach or head to the outdoor grill area for a delicious barbecue. Like playing tennis? Pack your rackets and enjoy a match on one of our two courts. This is one of the biggest resort properties on the island and security is always on top of things to ensure a pleasant stay.

Popular island activities include bird and turtle watching, beach four-wheeling, horseback riding and the Laguna Madre Nature Trail. Water activities include Schlitterbahn Waterpark, and there’s dolphin watching, boogie boarding, snorkeling and scuba diving, surfing and sailboat rental. If you love to fish, bay fishing, deep sea fishing, pier fishing, surf fishing, and fly fishing are also great options!

Guest Access:
You’ll have full, exclusive access to the home and shared access to the common areas and amenities at the complex.

The Neighborhood:
South Padre Island offers the perfect blend of relaxation and excitement. You're just steps away from the beach for sunbathing, swimming, and water sports, and local gems like Blackbeard's for seafood or shopping at Padre Island Plaza. Enjoy island activities like bird and sea turtle watching, beach four-wheeling, horseback riding, and exploring the Laguna Madre Nature Trail.

Getting Around:
The nearest international airport is Brownsville/South Padre Island International Airport (BRO), which is about 27 miles away. You’ll have parking onsite at the complex. Walking around the island is fun, too!

- Travelers must be at least 21 years old to book, and someone 21 years of age or older must be present during the entire stay.
- Guests will be asked to sign a Rental Agreement upon booking confirmation.
- Guests will be required to provide a valid I.D. (with photo and signature) and to sign the registration form upon arrival and check-in.
- All guests will be provided wristbands that they must wear for the duration of the stay.
- Depending on the booking site to make the reservation, a security deposit might be required, refunded after check-out, provided all terms are met.
- No more guests than those listed on the reservation are allowed, and no guests who are not already listed on the reservation are permitted.
- For upper floors, just note, the complex does not have elevators.
- The rental includes electricity (internet, air conditioning, etc.), use of the common area swimming pool, and two parking permits. An additional temporary parking permit may be purchased on-site for an additional fee. Boats and trailers are allowed on the property for an extra fee, but no RVs or motor homes will be allowed.
- BBQ grills are available in the designated “Palenque” area and are perfect for an outdoor meal with family or friends. The two-burner grill is $40, and the four-burner grill is $50.
- No smoking of any kind inside the home! Drug use and illegal activity on the premises are also strictly prohibited. Failure to comply results in a $300 fine. PLEASE DO NOT TAMPER WITH THE SMOKE ALARM. There is an $800 charge for tampering with it.
- No parties, events, or excessive noise after 10 pm. Please respect the neighbors.
- Cleaning service is available at an extra cost. Let us know in advance to book it.
- There are outdoor security cameras for safety and security.
- Guests are responsible for damages that occur or extra cleaning costs as a result of their stay.
- Our properties are family-oriented, and good behavior is expected from our guests. This includes respect for the Resort/HOA rules and the pool and common area rules and hours. Failure to comply with these policies is grounds for eviction from the property and a fine.
- This property is not pet-friendly.

Interaction with Guests:
Once at the complex's entrance, give your name to Security. They will provide you with the keys, wristbands and parking passes. You’ll be required to wear your wristbands during the entire stay.

Not sure it was worth the money...

The condo was decorated nicely but the beds were incredibly uncomfortable and cheap and made a lot of noise for every move. There is construction going on right behind the unit so the hammering at 7am was annoying. The unit does not come with a grill as depicted and is 50 per usage! The unit does not come equipped with anything, even the salt and pepper or laundry soap, and had a very old coffee maker which I ended up buying instant coffee instead of filters and coffee, etc. Most places come with some basics, but not this place, not even a broom to sweep up sand. Bring "goo-gone" for the tar at the beach. The outlets in the kitchen don't work and neither does the wifi. The pool closes at 10 not 11 like the gate states and we were kicked out after having just got there and wanting to sit in the hot tub for a little. Overall, we were disappointed in the quality of the place especially for the money, but the location was great and nice to be able to walk to the beach. Would not stay here again though. We had a family of 6 with ages 5 years to 17 and 2 adults.

Amazing for kids!

The playground has been transformed into an incredible splash pad, and it’s absolutely fantastic! Conveniently located right next to the building, you’ll enjoy easy access on the first floor, no stairs to navigate. You’ll find the splash pad on one side and the front pool on the other, with just a short stroll to the second pool and beach. My little ones, aged 10 months and 3 years, had an amazing time! The condo is spotless and equipped with pots and pans, providing everything you need for a delightful stay. It also has a washer dryer, if you need to wash, bring a few laundry pods. The resort is very strict and clean. No random strangers allowed, very tight security which we loved! You need a bracelet and you get 2 car parking passes. The third pass is 85. (We could have planned better) . The host is absolutely amazing! Totally recommend! No bbq put on property, you have to bbq in designated area right next to this condo which is perfect!

Good place with children and pets

Pros: The check-in process was clear, simple, and easy. The gate guard is available 24/7, providing a sense of safety, especially when staying with children. The local customer team was friendly and helpful. Cons: There was ongoing construction in front of the patio, visible from the living room and kitchen, which was disruptive—especially since the work continued even on Thanksgiving day. One of the hot tubs near our room was out of order. There were issues with the Wi-Fi connection and the outdoor grill. Overall, it was an okay property. Despite the inconvenience, we still enjoyed our stay, but some areas could be improved.
