  • Summary:

    On South Padre Island, new and sleeps 10 rarely appear in the same listing without a price that rules out half the group. Villas de Laguna is the exception. Finished in 2025, this three-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath two-level townhome gives you near new construction — quartz counters, stainless, open-concept living — sleeping 10 without an airbed, two blocks from the beach with the bay directly across the street. One of just four units in this quiet complex at 5100 Laguna Blvd.



    The Space:

    The kitchen is stocked for real cooking — pots, pans, blender, all utensils — and opens directly into the living area.

    All beds have clean, crisp white towels and linens, and the tankless water heating system eliminates the wait for a hot shower. Worth noting: the kitchen is well-equipped but not oversized, and there is no dishwasher is in place.

    A starter supply of coffee, creamer, sweetener, decaf, and tea is provided along with hand soaps, dish soap, trash bags, paper towels, toilet paper, non-stick cooking spray, and salt and pepper; none of it is replenished, so plan accordingly.

    Walk to Coral Reef, Big Donkey Mexican Cantina, Blackbeard’s, and more — and the bay across the street means fishing from shore at the end of the block for your children or adults to wet a line



    SLEEPING (Up to 10 Guests)

    The ground floor master has a King bed with a very nice all new tile en suite full bath and walk-in all-tile shower. Upstairs, the second bedroom has two full beds and the third bedroom — the bunkroom — carries two built-in queen-sized bunks. Those two upstairs rooms connect through a jack-and-jill full bath with walk-in tile shower, so neither bedroom has to go through a hallway to reach it. A Queen airbed with pump is available if needed just bring bedding if you plan on using that. Ten guests is the maximum, and that number includes infants and babies.



    THE OUTDOORS

    There is a small space out front to relax outside the unit. The complex has a small fenced pool with lounge chairs, and heat is available November through April for an additional fee — details in Policies.

    Community charcoal BBQ pits are available by the street on a first-come, first-serve basis; bring your own charcoal. Beach gear is not provided, but a vendor on the sand rents two chairs and an umbrella for $45 cash per day — no reservation, just show up.



    PARKING

    Two off-street spaces come with the rental at no charge — a golf cart counts as one vehicle, and street parking is available nearby for overflow. Unlike the hotels on this island, parking here costs nothing.

    High-speed WiFi is included. Spectrum is the only provider on South Padre and service can be inconsistent — if you have work that truly cannot wait, bring a cell hotspot as backup.

    If the SouthPadreTrips network does not appear, a power outage may have defaulted the router; the original credentials are on a sticker on top of the unit, and a quick unplug-replug typically restores it.



    PETS

    Up to 2 pets are welcome for a small additional fee — please read all house rules before booking if you plan to bring an animal, as specific requirements apply.

    Pets are not allowed in the pool area, on furniture, or left alone to bark. Please clean up after your pet or a charge will follow if you do not pick up dropping. Undisclosed pets result in eviction, so please be upfront.

    We have all units in this complex and others nearby — if your group needs more than one place, ask us. We are happy to work it out and also have many other condos super close



    DISCOUNTS — JUST ASK

    POLICIES

    Primary guest must be 23 or older and must be present at check-in. If you are under 23, reach out before booking — it is sometimes possible with additional requirements but not guaranteed. A signed digital rental agreement and valid photo ID are required before check-in; door codes are not released without both. Strict cancellation policy applies. No unregistered guests, no extra vehicles. No smoking, no parties, no loud music at any time. This is not a party property — we appreciate your understanding and please note we do security patrol the property at night for too many cars, people, etc.

    Pool heat runs $25 per day and is billed after booking. You must agree to pay for the heat for your entire stay. Plan for up to 8 hours for the pool to reach temperature, so requesting it the day before arrival gives you the best result. Below 65°F outdoors, we have found the pool heat will not warm it up a ton

    You'll have complete access to the entire townhome during your stay. This includes the fully stocked kitchen, the living area with its Smart TV, and the bedrooms. A washer and dryer are conveniently located within the unit. Outside, you can enjoy the patio, the community pool (with optional heating), and the BBQ pits. Free parking for two vehicles is available, and high-speed WiFi is provided. Pets are allowed with an additional fee, but please be mindful of the pet restrictions.

One of the best features of this location is the easy access to the beach, only two blocks away, making it simple to enjoy sun-soaked days. Across the street, the bay offers fishing opportunities for all ages. The community also features charcoal BBQ pits, perfect for grilling your favorite meals. With everything so close, you can easily spend your days exploring and relaxing.



    Getting Around:

    While South Padre Island is easily navigated by car, here's some helpful information for getting around. Free parking for two vehicles is provided at the townhome. Street parking is also available nearby. For those arriving by air, the closest airport is Brownsville South Padre Island International Airport (BRO), approximately a 30-minute drive away. Taxis and ride-sharing services like Uber and Lyft are readily available on the island for convenient transportation. Consider renting a golf cart for a fun way to explore the island, as they are a popular mode of transport. Public transportation options are limited. However, the island is easily walkable, especially to the beach and local restaurants. The South Padre Island Convention Centre is also a short drive away if you are attending an event.



    Other Things to Note:

    Please note the following to ensure a smooth stay: Check-in is at 3 PM, and check-out is at 11 AM. A signed digital rental agreement and a valid photo ID are required before receiving the door code, which will be sent by text on your arrival day. The primary guest must be 23 or older and present at check-in. This property has a strict cancellation policy. Up to two pets are welcome with an additional fee; please review the house rules regarding pets before booking. Quiet hours are from 10 PM to 9 AM. No smoking, parties, or loud music are allowed. The community pool can be heated for an extra fee; request it in advance for the best results. A starter supply of essentials is provided; replenishment is not included. Two parking spaces are available; street parking is also nearby. For stays of three nights or more, complimentary linen and towel exchange is available at the South Padre Trips office.

If I were to just rate the physical location is was fine. It had limited items to use for cooking/baking. There was also limited space to store groceries too for 44 days. The living room furniture was not comfortable either. The most irritating thing was when we would call for help/questions, someone would answer and tell us they would get back with us and then it would be either me calling them back or it would be a few days later when they’d call back. We had an issue with the upstairs shower. When we called to get it fixed, they said they’d send someone right over and to wait for them. They didn’t show up until like a day later and that’s because I had to call again. They eventually came and thought they had fixed it. When we called to let them know it was not fixed, they said they would send someone right over. They never showed up. It was very frustrating for us to try and wait for them and they wouldn’t show up. The beds were just mattresses-no box springs so no support. I got this place because it was advertised as having a heated pool. The pool was not heated. When I called about this, they told me I’d have to pay 25/day to have it heated. I told them it was in the contract that it was going to be heated to 88 degrees while we were there. I was then told that the owner had meant to take that out of the advertisement but hadn’t done it yet. I asked for compensation (25/day that they wanted to charge me). I was ignored. When we left, it was still advertised as heated.
