GORGEOUS Remodeled South Beach Cottage - 2 blocks from the shore!

Step into our sunny-bright beach cottage with a farmhouse flare that will make you feel so welcome and cozy you won't want to leave! You will feel pampered by the personal touches and extras that come with your stay at this vacation home. Fetch some morning brew from our coffee bar and enjoy the morning peace nestled in the rockers on the front porch. Enjoy some family fun in the sun and sand followed with a home-cooked meal in the kitchen (or outdoor grill) full of all new appliances to meet all of your cooking needs. Enjoy your meal at the kitchen bar or at the dining room table amidst the warm glow of the fireplace. There are 2 TV areas for together cuddles or winding down family time. This home carries a small footprint, but feels incredibly roomy with high ceilings and open floor plan. Despite breeching 100 years, everything in this home is BRAND NEW!
Family games, toys and puzzles are great for inside fun, while outdoor pleasure is just around the block at Kids Corner and hiking/biking trails are down the street (Van Buren Trail) or across town (Kal Haven Trail). There's bike, moped and gulf cart rentals in the area to help you get around. Boat and jetski rentals can bring summer water fun.
Children will love the custom-made bunk experience (very fort-like) that has 2 twin beds above 2 full beds.
Downstairs bedroom has en suite full bathroom with tub/shower, glass enclosed. Upstairs full bathroom offers a walk-in shower, glass enclosed.
For your convenience a brand new washer/dryer is ready to assist!
The beach is two blocks away and festivities, restaurants, shops and winter ice rink are all in walking distance as well (6 blocks). Be sure to check out South Haven's calendar of festivals and events to enhance your time here. Evening ice-cream runs are a must! The harbor is also in walking distance (about 5 blocks) and offers a kids splash & play, live music, benches and grills or just pull up a yard chair and watch the boats go by. Small dogs under 20 lbs welcome with a $200 fee.

Cute house, tidy and updated and a great walkableLocation. The “3 bedroom” description is a stretch as the beds are literally in a loft style open hallway upstairs without a door. It is a good set up for a family with young kids who would not mind that arrangement. Not so great for adult kids or other adults.

SOHA Vacay

My family and I enjoyed a relaxing stay in SOHA. The house had plenty of space for 2 adults and 4 children. Loved the quiet front porch for morning coffee and reading! And two full bathrooms was a bonus! Close to the beach and a short walk into town. Would be happy to stay here again…highly recommend!

We had the best time celebrating my bachelorette weekend here! The house was super clean, cozy, and just two blocks from the beach in South Haven—plus a 3 minute drive to all the cute shops and restaurants downtown. The host was great with communication, and check-in was super simple. I would definitely book again for another girls’ getaway!

The cleanest rental you’ll ever stay in

Andy and Daniall are excellent hosts! Their home is well-stocked with everything you could need on visit. The house is so clean! We’ve stayed in many rentals over the years, but none have ever wowed with cleanliness. This one is spotless!! The location is great, too. South Haven is a treasure and we hope to be back again.

It was almost perfect

The house was very nice and nicely updated. Really, the only problem we had was that we didn’t get to enjoy the expected length of stay. We had an agreement for a late check out which the owner then rescinded after it was too late for us to cancel. It was agreed for us to have the late check out to accommodate a special needs individual. I followed up to make sure this was agreed upon and I was reassured. I was appreciative that they were being understanding. But, when the opportunity arose for them to rent the house for our check out day,they rented it, thus breaking their word and telling us to vacate earlier. It made the entire check-out day schedule chaotic and dampened our stay, and we had to cancel our trip into town and proceed home.

Every detail thought of

Totally wowed. Our family of 4 with two small children (and our doodle, Beau) stayed in the cottage for Thanksgiving weekend and were so delighted by all the cute details, high end finishes and a level of cleanliness that I have never seen in a short term rental. Every surface was sparkling clean including the floors, the linens and everything in between. High end touches like nice blow dryers, little soaps, enough dishes and pans to actually cook. Thank you to Andy and Daniall for being responsive and kind hosts and putting so much care into your cottage. We can’t wait to visit another time.

Great place to stay

We’ve had great luck with Michigan and South Haven did not disappoint! The property was clean and cozy- my kids LOVED the upstairs loft with bunk beds, their own television and bathroom. They didn’t want to leave! The hosts were responsive and had plenty of toiletries and extras on hand for us. It’s a great location. We walked to the beach everyday. The street was nice and quiet. The only downside was how uncomfortable the primary bed was.
