The Chalet is the perfect location. It is close to 4 beaches, including Sauble Beach, the Bruce Trail, and a scenic gorgeous extended drive to the National Park / Grotto.

The Chalet resides in the exclusive Sugarbush Estates in North Oliphant, which is a 10min drive from renowned Sauble Beach, cross country ski trails, The Bruce Trail, Wiarton and Red Bay, quickly connected to Highway 6. Extended drives are gorgeous and will land you in Tobermory, Bruce Peninsula National Park, Mallory Beach and more quickly.

About Oliphant:

Oliphant is rich in history, Treaty 72 was signed on October 13, 1854, by First Nations residing on the “Saugeen Peninsula” and representatives of the Crown. The Treaty area covers most of what is now known as the Bruce Peninsula.

At the time of signing, the peninsula was known as the Saugeen Peninsula. The treaty is sometimes today referred to as the Bruce Peninsula Treaty.

Visit Oliphant if you are an outdoor enthusiast. Located along the shores of Lake Huron, just north of Sauble Beach, Oliphant has become a popular location for kite boarding and the Oliphant Fen Boardwalk.

Guest can quickly get to Sauble Beach, Wiarton, Oliphant, Red Bay within 10-15mins and Northern Bruce Peninsula, including Lion's Head, Barrow Bay, Stokes Bay and Pike Bay within 20-30mins. Tobermory is 45-60mins further North.

ReviewMy husband and I recently stayed in this accommodation for one week with our adult children and grandchildren (9 adults and 5 children).While the location and size of the property were great, the property has been neglected and was very disappointing.Upon arrival at the 4 pm checkin time, it did not appear that the cleaning tasks had been fully completed as the floors and bathrooms were not fully clean. This was dealt with promptly by the property manager and a cleaning crew was sent out to complete the cleaning.However, upon settling in, we noticed that the furnishings in the house were stained, sagging and broken. In the primary bedroom, the mattress and boxspring were sitting on the floor and the closet door was broken off the hinges. Shower curtains were stained and moldy.The kitchen bar stools as depicted in VRBO photos were not in the building.The only baby equipment was a stained and broken pack and play, which we did not use. The kitchen was lacking basics, there were not enough plates, bowls, glassware or cutlery for our group for one meal, no mixing bowls, platters, or other serving pieces and a number of the cookware pieces were burned or ruined.The dishwasher tab door was broken.Property Mgr did not respond to me for 4 days, and then offered a small discount which I was not satisfied with. I would not recommend this property or the property manager. - I gave 2 stars for size and location.

We had an overall enjoyable stay at this property. The house was spacious and worked well for our large family group of 13. One of the biggest positives was the abundance of bathrooms, which made things much more comfortable and convenient for everyone. We also really appreciated having two refrigerators, which made it easy to store all of our food and drinks.That said, there are a few areas that could be improved. Some of the AC units weren’t working properly, and cooling throughout the house was uneven. The TVs and couches felt dated. Bathrooms could use more attention as well. The grill is a bit worn and rusty, and there was some clutter in closets and around the property that made things feel less tidy. Lastly, the WiFi connection is kind of odd because only certain sites/apps will load properly and others will not connect at all.Overall, these issues didn’t stop us from having a good time, but with some updates and regular maintenance, this property could be excellent.

Fantastic Place & location!

We travel with my family and my friends. The house was the perfect size everyone had their own space. They have 7 bedrooms. If you're looking for peace and quiet then this is the place! The cottage was spotlessly clean, secure, comfortable and cosy. A large kitchen if you like cooking and dining area for a large groups, & two spacious living rooms to hangout, high-speed WiFi, and all the essentials you could want. We had everything we needed. They have a complimentary goodies. That’s awesome! Not all cottage have that!They have property guidebooks which is very helpful. We had a wonderful stay in this house! Would highly recommend.
