Highly Recommend!

The owner was very responsive and personable. It had snowed, and he made sure the driveway was plowed. The house had all the amenities as listed, and made for an excellent week in West Virginia.

WV Cabin

The view was amazing! The cabin was clean. All cooking accessories was available for us. There were 9 of us and I really think that was the max for the cabin. Great communication with the owner. The couch in the living room has seen it's better days though. Will consider renting again if we go back.

Fantastic getaway spot!

The location has one of the best views I’ve ever seen from a rental cabin. It is very clean and welcoming as well. It’s located close enough to snowshoe that you can quickly get to the village or to the train in Cass but can get back to peace and quiet when you’re done exploring. Note..almost everywhere closes at 9pm so plan accordingly. Would highly recommend this cabin and will hopefully be staying here again in the future.

Thanksgiving in the Mountains

We loved this cabin! We booked for Thanksgiving weekend and was pleasantly surprised at how stocked the kitchen was for our cooking needs. While getting there was rough for those that get car sick, the views made up for it! Our interaction with the owner and timely response was fantastic. We highly recommend!

Amazing place to spend to time with family and friends

Beautiful Property overlooking the mountains. Generous landlord. Promptly shared the keycode on the day we checked in, and allowed has stay until 2 pm on checkout day. Memorable experience.

Relaxing Vacation

The cabin was wonderful and the view was spectacular!! There were four of and the cabin offered plenty of room for us. The fully stocked kitchen allowed us to make our meals there. Explored some surrounding towns and sights but mainly just relaxed. West Virginia's slogan is "Almost Heaven" and that is the truth....just beautiful!

Fabulous ski chalet

My wife and I rented this house with our daughters and some of their college friends for a ski weekend. The house is beautiful and the views are incredible! It was perfect for us and the finished basement was a major bonus! I would definitely make sure everybody driving has a car with all wheel drive.

Amazing experience

Beautiful, Serene, and Disconnected

This property is the perfect getaway for those wanting to disconnect and recharge. The view over the valley below is phenomenal and the natural light you get throughout the day recharging. Property is maintained well and I'd just advise renters to bring some chairs or tables to take advantage of the side decks in the mornings for some coffee outdoors in the sunlight.

Beautiful and relaxing getaway

We were there for the weekend. The cabin was so relaxing and the view was breathtaking. All amenities were there. All you need to take is your food. Highly recommended.

I was sold by the view but disappointed by the upkeep of the cabin.

First off I’ll say that the view is fantastic. That’s one of the main reasons I chose the cabin for my family. We also chose it for the washing machine since we had a baby in our group and needed to wash clothes. More than the average traveler. First off we got into the cabin and there was no water in the reservoir tank for the property. In other words the first day there we couldn’t shower or flush the toilets after our 16 hour drive. We called the handyman/caretaker Tim as well as the lady who takes care of the cleaning and they had the tank filled the next day. That’s when we found out the washing machine didn’t work and hadn’t worked for quite some time prior to our arrival and had no advanced mention of. She was also nice enough to bring us clean towels since we couldn’t wash them. The other massive Inconvenience was a loose metal roof panel. And let me be clear when I say that it’s not the aesthetics we cared about so much as the flapping of the wind all night long. Every room in the house could hear it and no one could sleep. It sounded like a Jasón or Freddy Kruger were stomping on the roof trying to get in. I was told that the owner called me but the service is terrible up there as well as the wifi so I never received a call. The water was resolved after the first day but at our departure (a week later)none of the other issues were resolved. I’d say this has been the worst experience I’ve had with any vacation rental. To add insult to injury after presenting all this to evolve vacation rental management they decided not to refund any money for any of the massive inconveniences during our vacation. Long story short this property has a wonderful view and if it were managed properly would have been fantastic. I’d steer clear from ever using any property tied to evolve vacation rental indefinitely. They’re a scam and I’ll be reporting them to BBB and let anyone I can to stay away from them.

Beautiful and peaceful stay

We had such an incredible time at this home. First of all, the views alone are worth it all - it was honestly breathtaking. The house was peaceful and cozy and has everything you need. Even though we came at the time when ski season hadn't started and summer season had ended, it was great to hang at the house. It's a quick drive to golf and to snowshoe mountain for skiing. However, if you want to hike or explore some other areas, you'll have to drive a bit further and on winding roads. Bottom line is we'd love to come back here again.

Great Property, Disappointing Management

The view was Fabulous, the location of the property Superb! Now that the best is listed, there is a whole lot that can be improved. Five friends decided to celebrate a 50th, relaxing in the mountains. We were not looking for 5-star luxury, but for the price ($$$$) we questioned our decision several times over our 3-night stay. We had a most stressful "welcome" as we could not open the lockbox for the key to the front door. Frantically we tried to contact the Property manager and the Handyman . To add to our panic, we simply could not reach anyone! We asked our family members at home to contact all the people listed on email. We even considered other options to spend the night as it was getting dark. After almost an hour of confusion and disappointment, the housekeeper showed up and opened the door with her keycode. She informed us that they've had trouble with EVOLVE not updating the keycode between guests. To add to this, the property manager texted much later that he was on a flight. This seemed irresponsible, especially since this has been a known problem with updating the keycode. What is the point of listing emergency names and numbers when they will not respond! We could not retrieve the key throughout our stay and did not feel safe at night during the entire stay. Other things for consideration -The property was not clean especially in lieu of COVID and cleaning fees of $$$ The floor was gritty and sandy, we swept the living and dining. There were plenty of dead bugs on most windowsills. The most appealing feature of the property, the glass facade, was plastered with handprints. - No bath soap. - We ran the final dishwasher without soap. - All supplies seemed rationed. - Some panelling under bathtub had come off, which could be hazardous. For the extensive list of check-in and check-out instructions to the renters, there are simple, easy things things that can be offered by the managing team to make for a fabulous stay. I hope managing team takes these suggestions seriously. It would do justice to the location and the property.
