« We had an amazing honeymoon stay at Mountain Resort Skardu Hotel from April 11 to 16. Everything about our 5-day experience was good. If you are planning to visit skardu city for just two or three days, I would recommend this resort. For one thing, the hotel balcony offers a view of the entire skardu city —it is truly beautiful. « This hotel was amazing and had a fully functional high quality restaurant. The views of surrounding snow capped mountains were amazing. The only problem was that the entire Skardu town had wifi problems and electricity shortages. Hotel had generators to cope with the situation. The hotel said that local government is trying to solve it. The only workable sim card for phone was S-com but even that was on and off depending on the terrain. So be wary of that. Of course it was not hotels fault....

« Property is not bad but management and service staff does not understand what is customer service? I planned 10 days trip but get sick due to non working of DC converter in the room, so cancel my trip half way and returned home. The airport is at one end and hotel on the other. There is no complimentary shuttle service. The mattresses were with out covers. « A nice hotel. But considering the run-down room, facilities, and amenities, it might be slightly overpriced. The room is clean but a bit small. The location on the map (shown in not Expedia) is wrong. We thought this hotel is relatively close to the center of Skardu, but actually it is rather close to the airport. Public transportation is not easily available between the hotel and the city center. So the only way is a hotel car (1500Rs round trip). Staff is polite and friendly. Blackout...

A special thanks to Ms. Meher, who was incredibly patient and helpful with my English. She also kindly assisted me with copying my passport, and the service was quick and smooth.
