Property was lovely, with the grounds parklike. The condo was nice, but the owners appear to have experienced a flood in the kitchen some time ago. The hardwood floor was in need of replacing and quite torn up. The front desk is unstaffed and there are only a few residents on the property. Due to CoVid, the lovely restaurant next door was still not open. The logistics of booking, paying for and complying with the countless rules and regulations imposed by the rental company were overwhelming and constant. There was far, far too much communication, feedback and compliance with unnecessary security--it sometimes felt like we were being treated more like potential felons than guests. Checking in with a guest two or three times a day before a visit is excessive, although the staff was pleasant. Guests also are required to constantly communicate with a "greeter" before obtaining a key, who also must scrutinize all guest identification, even though he fails to provide his own ID and contact information. The check-in is arbitrarily late--5 pm--even though that entire day has been pre-paid for as part of the rental. I was told that my booking was back to back with a previous one, necessitating cleaning service delay. But when I arrived with the greeter, the unit was stuffy and very hot, with all the windows locked and patio doors closed as if for days. Nothing appeared as if it were cleaned a few hours before. I felt like I could have been allowed to use the condo I paid for much earlier than arranged. My recommendation to EMR is to review how your constant contact and obsessive security negatively affects your guests. When you require full payment a month in advance, and that payment is made into EMR's bank account, with other pieces of identification given, you might want to lighten up on the obsessive multiple-daily contacts by email.
