The Retreat is a really sweet little house with excellent pedestrian access to all that Saltaire has to offer, not to mention the fantastic butcher, fishmongers and Pepper Mill restaurant just up on the main road.The house has been beautifully and stylishly renovated, with a spacious and well-equipped kitchen, a cosy and comfortable sitting room with a whopping TV and a private yard with patio furniture to make full use of the outdoor space.Upstairs, the elegant bathroom has both a bath and a shower, a loo and a basin and somehow feels spacious despite its modest size. The bedrooms are lovely, all three are a good size and very comfortable. The street is incredibly peaceful, so there’s no outdoor noise. We slept like logs!The owner couldn’t have been more helpful in dealing with our questions before our stay and helping with minor issues while we were there. It’s clearly a house that has been put together with a great deal of thought and love. A really special place!
