We had another wonderful stay at the Heart of Huxley Bay! We first saw out this particular cabin because it allowed pets and looked very clean. Though we didn’t bring our dog at this time, our children requested that we go back to this very location this year. Josh is always very helpful and welcoming. And, the cabin is always in tiptop shape with wonderful amenities included. We look forward to another stay here in the future.

The cabin was darling! A nice quiet cove that was so relaxing and peaceful for our family. Our little dog was so happy too! The dock was bigger in person and perfect to hang out on and swim around. We’d highly recommend this house!

I recently stayed at The Heart of Huxley Bay fishing lake house, and I have to say, it was a truly lovely experience. The house itself has that cozy cabin vibe, decorated with warmth and a touch of charm that immediately makes you feel at home. Each morning, sipping coffee on the porch while taking in the stunning views of the lake was a highlight. Fishing was, of course, a big part of our stay. The lake is teeming with fish, and it was such a joy to cast a line right from the dock. I caught several decent-sized catfish during our trip, which made for some great meals in the evenings. What I appreciated most was the peace and quiet of the location. It’s very serene, perfect for unwinding and escaping the hustle and bustle of daily life. The area around the lake house has some nice roads too, which we explored in the afternoons.The kitchen was well-equipped, making it easy to prepare meals, and there’s even a grill outside for those beautiful evenings by the lake. The hosts were incredibly friendly and ensured that everything we needed was at our fingertips.Overall, if you’re looking for a relaxing getaway filled with fishing and beautiful scenery, The Heart of Huxley Bay is definitely worth considering. I left feeling refreshed and already planning my next visit!

The owner of the property is very friendly and respectful. Tons of wildlife in the area. Great fishing right off the deck. Boat ramp if very close to the property. House is beautiful and the neighborhood is quiet.

Even the rain couldn’t put a damper on a good time. The house is in a great location with a perfect view. We really enjoyed the pier and doing a little fishing. Very relaxing, very serene. The owner was very respondent to questions, nice and polite. Very accommodating. Make sure you take advantage of the provided kayaks and fishing equipment if you don’t have your own! This property is wonderful! The pier right out the back door, the fire pit off the porch, screened seating area, it is all perfect whether you are bringing a family or just for two. The house is clean and well maintained. We very much enjoyed our stay and look forward to future bookings. Host responded to messages promptly and was very helpful when I had any questions.

Property was comfortable and relaxing. So peaceful and quiet. Didn't want to leave!Outside patio had lots of big limbs on the porch. No dishtowels, stove was not very clean on top. Refrigerator could have been cleaner. Game room area was very dusty and dirty. These items were easy to overlook because the location and the rest was fantastic. We would definitely stay there again and tell friends about how great it was. Josh was great.! Kids enjoyed the swimming and kayaking.

Wonderful Weekend Getaway

We had a wonderful weekend in this beautiful cabin. The beds were comfortable. The firewood supply is a very nice touch. We really enjoyed the fire pit. Everything we needed was in the cabin. Plenty of entertainment provided for all ages (kayaks, fishing tackle, TV’s in every room, games). I definitely recommend this cabin for a getaway.

We were attending an activity in Tenaha and this location was very remote. I should have checked before booking. I am handicapped an hada fall and had to leave earl. AIG trip protection is a joke.

Quick getaway

Love the house and area. Great host. Plenty of firewood provided which was perfect as a cold front came through and we all had a great time around the smokeless fire pit. Can't wait to go back and stay a little longer next time.

Dirty house in a great location

DO NOT stay here. We arrived after a days drive to the messiest, disgusting, worn down, unkempt place I have stayed. We contacted the owner who apologized, and offered several things to make a "5 star " experience. The furniture is worn out with holes, ripped nails coming through. It took us over 3 hours to clean place, after we bought cleaning supplies. There was blood on a pillow. Urine stains on the back of toilet, dirty sheets, food stuck to the fridge, abd the stove. For 8 people we had 3 rolls not of toliet paper.Owner offered to reimburse us for the issues, and for money spent on supplies.When we left 38mins late he tried to charge us more after all this. He had texted to ask us at 1130 if we could hurry up and get packed up. I told him were were headed out the door...packing truck. We then again pointed out all the issues with a few before, and after pictures and he decided not to pursue that. When we were 3 hours cleaning initially. He was going to charge for 38 minutes. This owner doesn't care about the condition of the property. He even admitted he hadn't been there in sometime. Save your money, don't stay here . The owner isn't someone I would deal with again, as he is dishonest. He never did reimburse for toliet paper (The house per its description has that). Bottom line the house is gross. The only pro of the house for us is it sits on a beautiful lake. They have out door games, indoor games, fishing poles, awesome fire pit. Lots of outdoor area to spread out, a

Enjoyed the stay. Despite starting off with severe thunderstorms and tons of rain. We enjoyed our stay. House is nice and convenient. Ended up with sunny skies the last day and lots of fun. Memorial Day Weekend

We had a wonderful stay! House is roomy and outside area has plenty of space to hang out. There were a couple of issues that were dealt with promply by contacting the owner who answered my txt and called right away!! Can' wait to come back! Thanks for sharing your beautiful home with our family ❤️ Do know that cell phone service can be a bit sketchy on the way up so map it out before you leave your house, just in case.
