Instantly enjoy the great Alaskan outdoors when you step off your porch. Walk out to Glacier Creek and experience the stunning 360 view and all it has to offer. At night enjoy a blazing outdoor bonfire Alaskan style (wood provided). Step away from the fire and experience the big Alaskan sky. Return inside and feel at home in your cozy 1300 sq ft. surroundings. Full kitchen and laundry, spacious bedrooms, comfortable beds, baths with tub shower combo, the wood stove, and 2 diesel wall heaters to keep you warm and cozy. One of our favorite experiences in our two week trip. Loved the attention to detail, including the fresh flowers and the already built and ready to be lit kindling in the fire pit. The little walk to the river bed was great for views . We'd stay get again.

Great stay in the Seward area!

We stayed at the Alaska View Lodge for four nights while in Seward with my wife and three adult children and had a great time. The location is wonderful - 5 minutes to Seward makes it close to all of the activities there, but removed enough to feel out on your own a bit as well - out enough we got to watch a mama moose and her two calves grazing right in the backyard - amazing! We also saw salmon a five minute drive away at the Salmon Weir. Very clean, well stocked (in fact, extremely well stocked!) kitchen - how many VRBO's have a meat thermometer? Beds are great, two full bathrooms are also great. Great communication, very helpful host with suggestions for the area etc. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Seward and it were available. Great stay, great host, great property, great location!

Beautiful, peaceful home surrounded by nature

We loved our stay here away from the summer hustle of Seward. Ian was very communicative and provided excellent recommendations. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything needed to cook and we appreciated being able to use the washer/dryer and wood stove, which included plenty of wood ready to use. Highly recommend Ian’s home for anyone visiting Seward. We would definitely return!

Great Location, Great Host!

First off, as soon as we booked, our host Ian sent us a fantastic curated list of all his recommended sights and activities near the property. It's clear he's very familiar with the area and has great recommendations for adults and families with kids of all ages. On the day of our checkout, Ian also informed us one of the neighbors reported an injured brown bear in the area and to be cautious when leaving. He really is attentive and looks out for you. The property is only 10 mins from downtown Seward making it very convenient to pop into town for whatever you need, yet feels very remote. And just beyond a low row of trees in the back yard is Bear Creek, which my family loved exploring with beautiful views of the mountains in both directions. It's also only a 20 min drive to Exit Glacier. This house was perfect for our stay in Seward and we couldn't have been happier!

We had a great time - location is convenient and peaceful, about a 10 min drive from Seward center and there is a grocery store nearby. House was great and kitchen well-stocked - only request is one more dining chair, there were only four and there were five of us.
