'Sky Rider' cabin is surrounded by a beautiful hillside forest, but is just minutes from all the major attractions of the Great Smoky Mountains. This beautiful custom-built wood cabin is nestled in the mountains between Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and the Great Smoky Arts & Crafts Community -- only about a 10-minute drive to any of these fantastic destinations, but still immersed in the relaxing and beautiful natural surroundings of the Smoky Mountains.

Sky Rider cabin, with its high vaulted ceilings, three levels of fully covered decks, and walls of windows looking out to the surrounding hillside forest, has loads to enchant adults and kids alike. Guests can enjoy the cabin decks while taking in the beautiful views, soak in the hot tub after a day of sightseeing in the Smokies, socialize and have a drink at the bar top, or just take a nap on one of the many rocking chairs. The cabin's open-concept space on the main level has a living room with a cozy gas fireplace, plenty of seating for guests to enjoy the gas fireplace and Roku TV, a fully equipped kitchen, and a log dining table large enough to seat everyone. Guests will also find an assortment of games and puzzles that can be enjoyed on the second dining table located just outside on the deck.

The cabin's packed game room is certain to entertain all. Guests can play rounds of pool, darts, or foosball while taking in the beautiful views of the Smokies, enjoying the ambience of an electric fireplace, and watching streamed programs on the 40-inch TV. Guests can also play all the classic arcade games on the bourbon-barrel full-sized console. This multicade includes 60 authentic classics, such as Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong jr, Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, Frogger, Burger Time, Centipede, Galaga, Qix, Dig Dug, and more! Guests feeling the need for a little exercise can get a full-body workout with the water rower and pilates resistance bands while taking in the inspiring views.

The entrance side deck of the cabin overlooks a charcoal grill. Coals, grilling gear, utensils and lighters are all provided, so guests can kick back, relax, and really enjoy the cooking!

From romantic stays to action-packed fun family vacations, Sky Rider cabin's assortment of log-style beds can accommodate everyone. The first of the two king-sized log beds is located in the main-level bedroom, along with a 32 inch TV, two bedside tables, and a bathroom located just across the hall. This main-level bathroom contains a Jacuzzi tub with a handheld shower sprayer.

A second king-sized log bed can be found on the upper-level open loft bedroom of the cabin, which is also accompanied by bedside tables, a TV, and a full bathroom with the cabin’s shower. The loft bedroom receives plenty of sunlight as it opens up to a walkway leading to the upper deck of the cabin and the full wall of windows it shares with the living area below. Guests can use the provided wooden screens to suit their desired amounts of light and privacy to the loft bedroom.

In the lower-level game room of the cabin, guests will find a variety of sleeping options to accommodate their stay. This includes a full-size (double) log futon sleeper that can accommodate up to two guests, and a twin-over-twin log bunk bed that can sleep an additional two guests. A fold out twin mattress and bedding, suitable for children, is also provided to suit a variety of sleeping arrangements. On the game-room level, guests will also find a partially-finished laundry-utility room which contains a half bathroom for added convenience.

**Located in the Sky Harbor community, there are paved roads all the way up to the cabin. Like much of the Smoky Mountains, the inclines and curves of the paved roads might make the ride a challenge for motorcycles. At various parts of the Sky Harbor community, as with most of the Smoky Mountain communities, one can encounter short portions of relatively steep lengths of paved roads up to a maximum of about a 25% grade. While most cars can easily handle this incline on a paved road, it can still present challenges in the case of the occasional icy or snowy road conditions. Although the winters in the Smokies are generally quite mild, we do typically experience snow or ice once or twice a year in the middle of winter. A unique benefit of being in the Sky Harbor community is that its association does an excellent job of plowing and salting the roads in the case of snowy and icy roads. It can sometimes take the association up to about 12 hours to clear the roads, so travel to and from the cabin can be impacted over this timeframe. Vehicles equipped with AWD and 4WD can make navigating icy and snowy road conditions in the mountains much easier. At the cabin, there is enough parking to accommodate 2 vehicles on the driveway immediately in front of the cabin. An additional vehicle can be parked on the gravel pad along the road in front of the cabin, while additional parking is available for other vehicles and larger RVs, trailers, and trucks at the Sky Harbor clubhouse lot about 3/4th of a mile from the cabin.
