We had a fabulous time with are children and grandchildren. The Hogwartz Suite was an absolute hit with the grandkids! The game room had many wonderful games to keep the kids and adults entertained. All the rooms were comfortable and clean. The drive to the cabin is a bit of a white knuckle experience, especially in the snow like we experienced but the view is well worth it. There were a few broken or missing items but they didn't impact our time at Pimalai Lodge and Scott, the local manager, was very responsive. We did wish there were some glasses or cups that were not glass since it is such a family centered home, luckily all the kids brought water bottles with them. We did have a young black bear visit 2 different days which was a beautiful sight! Overall we would highly recommend this home for family trips!

My family had an amazing stay at this cabin! We had 8 adults, 1 teen, and 2 toddlers and never felt crowded. The cabin is in a secluded and peaceful location. The space and decor were beautiful and thoughtfully done, making it feel both cozy and fun. The theater room was a huge hit with our family - it comfortably fit everyone. The themed rooms were fun. We especially loved the Harry Potter room and the Mardi Gras setup, which added character to the house. The views were absolutely incredible. Mornings spent on the rocking chairs with coffee were peaceful, and evenings upstairs playing games together was memorable. The hot tub quickly became part of our nightly routine, and the outdoor kitchen was another highlight that made our stay feel extra special. Parking was tricky, but we made it work. We had four vehicles and used the switchback at the sharp turn in the driveway to turn around. Overall, this cabin had everything we needed for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway. We would recommend it and would come back!

Location was great and the view spectacular. Family loved staying here especially the kids in the Hogwarts bunkhouse area. Had a bear that wanted to drink from the hot tub and ripped the cover off to get at it. caused quite a spectacle for our group. We would likely stay here again, but potentially check out the sister cabin within view of the Hogwarts dorm cabin. Expecting two more grandchildren in 2026 which will make more rooms better for everyone.

We enjoyed our stay at this property very much. All of the kids and grandkids enjoyed it. The air hockey table was a hit and we all used the theater room for different things. We had a family game night. We had a movie night. We also did a couple of nights of karaoke in the theater room. The kids told me we should just get this cabin every year.

Family vacation!!

Check-in was easy! Lots of room for the 19 of us! Big kitchen area. Beware of the bears! We had numerous encounters—coming right up on the decks! Got some great photos! Had a plumbing issue but the property manger responded quickly and fixed the problem! We would book a stay here again!

Hogwarts Mountain Top

Absolutely beautiful house that met all our needs for our family of 11 whose ages ranged from 4 to 64. The house is large with many gathering areas and so many built in activities. This is the 6th home we have rented in the midwest and proved to be our favorite. There were a few broken items but the property manager was outstanding. The view was beautiful. The drive up the hill was paved and doable. The hot tub was great at night. The kitchen was well stocked and there were some little snacks there when we arrived. Visits from adorable bears on the deck were exciting! The bedding was comfy and towels were fluffy.

Beautiful views, lots of space for our group of 11, beds were comfy and everyone loved the theater and game room. Kids loved the Harry Potter themed bunk room. A few bear sights! We would definitely return in the future.

Absolutely Beautiful!!

Definitely took a few times to get over the roads but what a site when you made it to the top! The house was amazing and perfect for our family. The bears gave us quite the show on the deck. It will absolutely be on our to do list again. Scott, the property manager went way over and beyond for us! He's amazing! Who wouldn't want to see the views from this house!

We got there & it was all set up! Checkin was super easy. The lodge was beyond amazing! Watching sunrises and sunsets were breathtaking! The couple of small issues we had were fixed super quickly! I cannot recommend this place enough! Thanks so much for accommodating & sharing this beautiful place!

Something for Everyone!

The ride up the mountain was an adventure to say the least but once we got there, parking was plentiful. The cabin was perfect for our family weekend get away. It was clean, well stocked and in great shape. The upstairs game area was used the entire weekend, the kids played pool, air hockey, shuffle board and especially loved the karaoke machine. The theater room was fantastic an in great shape. Oh and the hot tub did not disappoint. My favorite part of the weekend were the bear siting's which was a bit intimidating but really fun to watch through the windows. I definitely think we are going to return in the future.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this cabin. We are a family with 6 adults and 5 children. Everything was perfect and it was hard to get the kids to want to leave the cabin to do other things! The manager responded quickly to any requests, everything was clean and well attended. We would definitely return for another stay.

Amazing Property and Location

Absolutely unbelievable property and location. The views were spectacular from all around the house. Perfect house for large parties with kids. We had 16 people and the house handled that size well. Large open living area with huge kitchen area that was perfect for preparing meals etc. The upstairs sports/play room and bunk bed set up was perfect for up to 8 kids. The only reason we did not rate 5 stars is due to some housekeeping and maintenance issues which we have addressed with the host.

Magic stay at the magic cabin!

Wonderful Vacation!

There was a issue with our arrival but the owner went way beyond to fix the issue that delayed our getting into the property. He even bought our dinner the first night we arrived to make up for it! The property is beautiful, and we couldn't have had a better view from the rear deck! I would make sure you arrive during the daytime though because the road getting to the lodge is very narrow and there are some seriously narrow/sharp turns and little area to turn around when you've missed one of them! Getting there after dark was terrifying! lol After a couple of days we got better about it but it was still a little unnerving at times. We would definitely recommend this lodge for large groups! There were 16 of us and there was plenty to do if we didn't feel up to getting out! We had a wonderful week and will go again!

50th Anniversary Celebration

The cabin was beautiful. . We had 17 people and there was plenty of room for everyone. The air conditioner wasn’t working on the main floor when we arrived. We text Scott and it was fixed that night. He was great about getting back to us. Be careful on the drive up to the cabin. Very steep and curvy road!!! Be bear aware! We saw bears everyday
