DISCOVER DOUGLAS LAKE DIAMONDS
During winter drawdown, head to designated public access areas around Douglas Lake to explore exposed shoreline and search for the sparkling quartz crystals known as Douglas Lake Diamonds. Jefferson County Tourism highlights Shady Grove TVA Access, Dandridge Partnership Trail and Nina Boat Ramp as places to explore. This is a local outing requiring a drive, not an activity promised on the cabin property. Check water levels and posted access rules, respect private property, and collect only small, loose pieces where permitted. After exploring, return to your private hot tub and electric fireplace.
FORBIDDEN CAVERNS
Add an underground adventure to your Sevierville visit with a guided tour of Forbidden Caverns, featuring striking cave formations and an underground stream. The cavern stays around 58 degrees year-round. Tours operate seasonally, generally April through late November; the attraction closes Thanksgiving through March and on Thursdays and Sundays. Check its current schedule before heading out.
