« After a long journey we found the parking a little hidden. The house is up a slope. The house is small and comfortable as one would expect. The breakfast was super and I wish we had been able to take more advantage of it. We had a medical emergency and Dawn, the landlady ,was so helpful and kept the room vacant in case we needed to stop an extra day. « Parking can be a problem if arriving later in the evening. Follow instructions given by owners. Breakfast is great staff friendly and helpful. Keep entry instructions handy as had a little trouble finding codes. Rooms 7 and 8 are not where you'd think ! »

« Very friendly staff all round .The hotel needs a bit updating stairs to room ,we stayed in Apple blossom room which was spacious with a large bathroom .Mini fridge in room with fresh milk nice touch .The room was comfortable in the heatwave ,with a fan included . « Lovely clean room, excellent staff, great kitchen. BUT… green light in room not conducive to good sleep, and the fire alarm went off at midnight, after which the excitement seemed to evoke some guests to chat and laugh through the night until 3am, then the same group of four men woke up and continued their frivolities from 5:30am until they left just after 7am. Not the staff’s fault. But the sound proofing is poor. »

« The beautiful setting and views of the river Severn were wonderful. The staff were always extremely helpful and welcoming. The bedroom was very comfortable and clean. The breakfasts and evening meals were of very good quality. It was our first visit to Shropshire and we would certainly come back to the Riverside Inn which was perfectly situated for day trips to Shrewsbury, Ironbridge and David Austin Roses, among other places. »

« The property is 400 yrs old so expect things to be uneven. The current owners have only been there a few years so maybe they still have work to do. The bedrooms are described on the website as "stylish "....I would say plain. The bedding was clean, bathroom ok but it was difficult to get the shower to the right temperature...it was either boiling or cold. Room 5 had a frosted window but it was hot so we had it open. The room could do with a slight update....e.g. more plug sockets and a bigger...

« I stayed here overnight for a friend's wedding. The hotel is in a great quiet location with great views. The staff were extremely lovely and helpful. The bed was comfortable and warm and the breakfast was very nice. The rooms are spacious but are a little dated and signs of wear and tear noted. The rooms had great amenities.. but could benefit with having a pen and paper in the room for completeness. »
