Peaceful and tranquil, Red Mountain Shadows Retreat (RMSR) is a refreshed West Sedona vacation home blending rustic warmth with modern comfort in an established cul-de-sac. Set on over a third of an acre, this retreat features warm wood accents, tile floors, and expansive floor-to-ceiling windows that seamlessly bring the outside in. Relax on the spacious 700-square-foot back deck—surrounded by mature high-desert landscaping—or gather around the patio fire table for peek-a-boo views of Thunder Mountain and exceptional stargazing. For panoramic red rock views of Thunder Mountain, Coffee Pot Rock, Chimney Rock, and Sugarloaf Mountain, take a short walk into the Mission Hills neighborhood or Posse Grounds Park.

Bedrooms & Bathrooms
Comfortably accommodates up to 6 guests with two king bedrooms and a queen sofa sleeper. A twin convertible ottoman offers additional flexibility for families or groups while maintaining the six-guest maximum.

The primary suite invites you to unwind under wood-beamed cathedral ceilings and skylights, featuring a king platform bed, a 55” smart TV, and direct deck access. Whether you need to catch up on emails at the dedicated remote workspace—complete with a desk, ergonomic chair, and monitor—or relax in the en-suite bath's soaking tub and walk-in shower, this space is designed for comfort.

The second bedroom features a king platform bed, a smart TV, a cozy desk area, and beautiful sunset views over the backyard. A full guest bathroom with a marble-topped vanity and tub/shower combination is located just steps away in the hall.

Living & Dining Space
The open-concept living area flows seamlessly into the kitchen, creating an inviting space for your group to connect. Settle into the comfortable seating—which includes a queen sofa sleeper and a twin convertible ottoman for flexible sleeping arrangements for a movie night on the 65” smart TV or an evening of board games.

You will find the kitchen well-stocked for all your culinary needs, fully equipped with stainless steel appliances, a generous spice collection, and premium cookware. Share your meals at the dining table set for six, or grab a quick bite at the bar-height counter.

Outdoor Living & Pool (Pool is coming soon!)
Your high-desert retreat is designed for multiple outdoor experiences, with exciting upgrades currently underway:
The 700-Square-Foot Main Deck: Step straight from the living room or primary suite onto the expansive deck. Surrounded by mature landscaping, it offers an inviting setting for outdoor dining, conversation, and stargazing—complete with a gas grill, an outdoor dining table, and plenty of space to unwind. Use the owner-provided telescope to take in the clear West Sedona night sky.
The Side Yard & Turf: Follow the stone staircase down to your secondary outdoor space featuring a 200-square-foot paver patio, comfortable lounge chairs, a cozy propane fire table, and an expansive artificial turf area.\
Private Pool – Under Construction (anticipated January 2027): We are currently building a stunning private resort-style pool featuring a custom waterfall, Baja sunbathing shelves, and new landscaping designed to enhance screening.

Important Construction Note: The active pool construction zone is fenced off and access is strictly prohibited during your stay to ensure your safety. A security camera (mounted above the HVAC unit) monitors only the restricted construction zone.

What guests love:
The house truly had all the comforts of home! The host has gone much further than typical vacation rentals with the attention to detail and extreme cleanliness inside and out. Everything was supplied that we could possibly need. We ate every meal on the peaceful deck, rather than deal with the crowded restaurants. The shower was fantastic! Very comfortable bed and pillows. Loved how close the house is to Whole Foods, Safeway, and restaurants. We highly recommend!!
