This home is in a very safe and fairly quiet neighborhood. The lake was a beautiful 10 minute (hilly) walk-& the Burke Gilman trail too. The highlight for our family was how private the property felt-nestled in trees and tall screens of bushes. The deck did offer a tiny view of the lake, but is not currently the view which the listing pictures show. The surrounding trees have grown significantly taller and now block most of the view. I was expecting to have lake views like the listing picture—the scenery was still beautiful. The deck recently had been repaired but not painted. It would be lovely if it were finished. We also found that the rooms were not the same as the listing pictures—missing lamps, tvs, and bedding, for example. The living room had two sofas, yet one would not support leaning back on it as there were removable back cushions that constantly fell off. I did notice there was another sofa in the downstairs bedroom, perhaps switching them would make the living room more comfortable. We were 7 and we found the kitchen/dining area comfortable, however there wasn’t enough silverware, wine glasses or large coffee mugs unless we washed dishes after each meal—the dishwasher was top notch, so we were able to make do. Having hand towels in each bathroom would also be a nice touch as well as lamps and bedside tables by each bed. Overall, we found the home to be charming and has a lot of potential. We felt safe, comfortable and peaceful & the host was attentive.
