Unit 21, Lot 61... Unit 21, Lot 61. Cormorant Cove, designed by Ralph Matheson, is a spacious, light-filled house situated one hundred yards from the Bluff Trail. The house features a great room with cathedral ceilings, and beautiful ocean and meadow views. From the house, a variety of animals may be observed, including deer, rabbits, foxes, raptors, quail and turkeys.
A partial remodel of the house was completed in 2023. The beautiful new kitchen has ample space for meal preparation. For environmental reasons, the old wood stove in the great room was replaced by a hand-crafted, built-in bench. The living room provides ample seating for guests to share time in a game or conversation. Outside the great room, on the enlarged main deck, guests may soak in the new hot tub, take in the sights and sounds of the ocean, and enjoy the stars.
Each of the four bedrooms offers an ocean view. The beds are comfortable as all mattresses are in excellent condition. The king and two queen bedrooms have private decks.
Cormorant Cove is located midway along The Sea Ranch coast, which means that active guests may range five miles in either direction without leaving the quiet roads and trails of the property. A few minutes’ walk from the house brings one to cliffs above a dramatic cove where cormorants nest on the rock walls. Shell Beach is three-quarters mile from the house and nearby is One-Eyed Jack’s Playground. Ohlson Recreation Center is a mile and half to the south and offers guests a swimming pool and sauna, plus outdoor tennis, basketball, and volleyball courts.
Children of all ages are welcome at Cormorant Cove. A travel crib and high chair are available upon request.
