Charming Apartment on Forsyth Park w/ Parking, No Stairs by Lucky Savannah

Up to four Lucky travelers will feel at home in this ground level apartment, just a stone's throw away from Forsyth Park. The Lynwood Collection on Forsyth is located on Historic Gaston Street and has been renovated top-to-bottom. Coastal decor ties the space together and creates an inviting space for guests to relax. Enjoy morning or evening strolls beneath the Spanish moss trees, and start your adventure discovering all Savannah has to offer.

Entering on the ground floor, you will be provided a secure key code unique to your stay, that ensures safe entry as you check in to your home away from home. Nestle into your coastal digs by gathering together in the living space fitted with a flat screen TV. Guests are welcome to access their streaming favorites like Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon Prime.

The kitchen is open to the living space, perfect for entertaining your guests. This quaint space offers stainless steel appliances, and is fitted to prepare a home cooked meal. Just down the hall, you'll find the King-size bedroom that features a private patio, great for an intimate meal or reading a book. Curl up into bed after a long day of exploring the town, and catch up on your favorite shows on the flatscreen television. You can also find the bathroom that features a spacious vanity, walk-in shower and a stackable washer and dryer.

In the morning, we recommend taking a short stroll across Forsyth Park to The Sentient Bean for a latte or refreshing iced coffee. For lunch, pop over to Bull Street Taco and explore their unique twist on tacos. As you wander around town, stroll through the Squares of Savannah, enriched in history. For dinner, head north downtown, where there's none better than The Grey, a Southern fine dining experience retrofitted inside an old Greyhound Bus Station. After a day out, relax in the park and listen to the sound of the Forsyth fountain.

  • Designed by John S. Norris for General Hugh Weedon Mercer, construction of the house began in 1860. Construction was interrupted by the American Civil War, and finally completed around 1868 by the new owner, John Wilder. Before Hansford's death, as retold in Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, the house had already been the scene of two deaths. In 1913, a previous owner tripped over the second floor banister, fractured his hip, and suffered a concussion, dying three days later. In 1964, a boy chasing pigeons on the roof fell over the edge and impaled himself on the iron fence below.

Family trip to Savannah

Easy check in, clean, and good location for our family trip. Loved having assigned parking space as we left to visit Wormsloe Historic site and did a day trip to Tybee. A DOT stop is steps away and having the beautiful Forsyth park across the street was awesome. The park has two playgrounds which is great if traveling with younger children.

Great place!!

Great place to stay in Savannah, so close to somany restaurants, pubs, shops, snd beautiful parks. Katrin was so nice to work with, so quick to get back with any questions we had. We would definitely recommend staying here to anyone interested in exploring Savannah.

Lovely visit

Savannah is a nice city to visit. It is very pretty and easy to get around. There are plenty of things to do. I took a food tour and a bike tour. I walked all over the historic district and enjoyed good food everywhere I went. It felt very safe.

Brief stay in Savannah

Awesome location. Thank goodness for parking. My only recommendation would be to dispose of one of the ice trays and replace it. A blanket would have been nice also. Overall excellent stay and we will try to stay here again on our next visit.

So close to Forsyth Park

Easy access to Forsyth Park - right across the street! Unit was nice and the bed was huge and comfortable. Small kitchen but enough for a couple days stay. Super convenient to have a dedicated parking space. The only recommendations I would have is to have a bigger trash can in the kitchen and extra trash bags. Thanks for the great stay!

The property has no windows other than sliding doors in the bedroom that expose you to the parking lot. The floors were dirty. The kitchen trash can was 2 ft tall and didn't hold anything. The unit is extremely small and they need to do a better job on cleaning.

On-site parking is huge plus!

The apartment is just as advertised and as shown in the pictures. Fresh and clean; nicely updated. Bed is very comfortable! The bathroom has a big walk-in shower. Water pressure is good with plenty of hot water. Finding on street parking in Savannah is very difficult, so having a designated space at the apartment was great. We parked our car when we arrived and never took it out until we departed. We loved being across from beautiful Forsyth Park with all the azaleas in bloom and the live oaks with Spanish moss. A must see attraction! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I highly recommend it for two people. My one negative is that the bar and stools for dining are not at all comfortable. The bar is too narrow and the metal stools are killer. A small high top with two more comfortable stools would work better.

Savannah near Forsyth Park.

On the plus side, the directions were good and it’s great to have assigned parking. The location was perfect for us as we walked to most attractions and were also able to use the city free bus from the stop around the corner. It was very quiet with not much noise from anyone above or next to us. On the negative side, I found the floors to be dirty. Particularly in the. Bathroom. I used some paper towels to wipe the area near the countertop and it was disgusting. It looks like it was mopped quickly in the center of the bathroom floor and no attention paid to the edges. The baseboards throughout could use some work too. The floor in the shower needs a good scrubbing as well. It clearly hasn’t been done in a while. Having a washer dryer is great, but only one package of detergent is unrealistic, and going to the store to shop for a small quantity of detergent is not an option while on vacation. And, hangers for the closet are a must. Clothing ends up being draped over the furniture. A new matt outside of front door without a large hole in the middle of it would go a long way toward a welcoming arrival. At the back slider it would be nice to have some sort of sheer window covering in addition to the room darkening drapes since it is the only access to natural sunlight in that part of the house. And finally, sweeping the outside back area would make it a lot more appealing. Overall we liked the place but we expected a bit more a bit more.

A wonderful location. Parking was tight but do able. Maybe not for the huge trucks. Walkable to local sights. A few hangers in the bedroom closet would be a nice addition. Clean and pleasant with nice decorations.

A little disappointing

The unit was sized Ok for two people. The floors were filthy. The shower gets water all over the floor. When it was wiped up with a towel, the towel was black. Couldn’t go barefoot in the unit as your feet would get black. Shower head is not good. No coffee for the first morning until there is time to go to the store the first day. There were no blankets in the unit. The iron was broken and we had to call for a new one. The location was good, within walking distance to all attractions.

Very enjoyable

The place was just as described and very nice. The only problem was with the TV which didn't have any schedule or instructions for viewing. This is fine for the younger folks who are familiar with current technology; however, my friend and I are senior citizens and could not understand how to tune into programs we wanted to watch. Overall it didn't make too much difference because we were not on vacation to watch TV. But it would have been nice to have program listings available with some info about how to get the local channels.
