Welcome to “COZY” at Barefoot Bungalows, a charming first-floor cottage located in the heart of Siesta Key. Just 1,000 feet from the beach and only two blocks from Siesta Key Village, this location truly can’t be beat. Beach Access #3 is only 1,500 feet away, with Beach Access #2 just steps in the other direction — no car needed!

Originally built in 1945, Barefoot Bungalows is a classic Florida triplex offering simple beach charm at a value you won’t find elsewhere in the area. Nestled between multi-million-dollar complexes, “COZY” delivers comfort, character, and an unbeatable location at a budget-friendly rate.

The Space

This 2-bedroom, 1-bath turnkey rental comfortably accommodates up to 4 guests and includes:

King bed in the primary bedroom with glass door to a private patio.

King bed in the second bedroom.

Spacious living area with full-size sofa and two chairs.

Flat-screen TV and complimentary WiFi.

Fully stocked kitchen with appliances and dish-ware for 4–6 guests.

Perfect for girls' week, all the comforts of home with short walk to the beach ! Lisa was very responsive when the TV stopped working. She had a new TV set up for us while we were at the beach. She was also helpful with giving us information on things to do in Sarasota because it was raining. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was supplied with what we needed. We enjoyed the patio as well as the beach supplies.I'm hoping to stay again in the future. This is the best vacation home I've stayed at, we vacation often so therehas been plenty of places to compare.

It was our 2nd time staying here. Has everything we need including beach chairs. Beach umbrella didn't work great however. And a few things missing from the unit such as scissors & cork screw. Lisa, the host/manager took care of it quickly when I asked. Location is perfect, near the village & beach.

We had a great time in Siesta Key. The accommodations were close to town and the beach which was supper. We did have a couple of issues, the sliding glass door would not open, the ceiling fan in the living area is very lose and make a lot of noise and the cushions on the patio furniture was dirty and stained.. Also didn't understand why the fans had to be left on and why there was so many order absorbing canisters everywhere.

One of the best places I’ve stayed in a long time — honestly, it set the bar high. The host was incredibly kind, and when we arrived for my birthday weekend there was a surprise “Happy Birthday” setup waiting for us (10/10 for making me feel fancy ).The place was spotless and had everything we needed for a perfect beach stay — no last-minute runs for supplies, which is always a win. The location was also amazing: about a two-minute walk to the beach and maybe five minutes to the main strip. Basically close enough to everything without the chaos.I also loved knowing that if I needed anything (which I didn’t), it would’ve been super easy to reach someone. Overall, a fantastic stay — would absolutely come back and already wish I was there again!

Yes. However it was unusually cold for Florida. Air came through windows especially bathroom window which would not close all the way. Blinds broken so we couldn’t open them. Bathroom door would not close all the way. Host very responsive. Clean and great amenities. Close to beach and town.

Very clean! Host was amazing! So accommodating. We had a problem during the stay and they handled it quickly and efficiently and made us feel very comfortable for our entire stay. The place is comfortable, but needs simple work to be better. Little things like changing lightbulbs indoors and out, putting a fresh coat of paint on the bathroom pocket door, a nicer eating area, blinds that actually work and so on. Lisa couldn’t have been a better host, but you’re shooting yourselves in the foot by letting such inexpensive and simple fixes become an unnecessary part of the experience.

It was an amazing week. We stayed in Cozy cottage and it was definitely cozy. The decor is so beachy, it was very clean, everything we needed was already there. The king size bed was super comfortable and the bedding was so soft, I slept like I was on a cloud. Pet friendly and our fur babies loved it also. Lisa property manager was a phone call away and very attentive to any of our needs. There was even fresh flowers upon our arrival. From the moment you arrive, just park the car and everything you need is in walking distance. We will definitely stay again. Thank you Lisa!

The Cottage was a perfect spot for a get away weekend. Just steps from the beach and a short walk to a number of restaurants and night life. The area has something for everyone. The nighty flag lowering at Patriots Pier was very moving. The host provides everthing for a beach day. Just bring your bathing suits.

Had wonderful short beach vacation on Siesta Key. The host was very attentive. We appreciated the extra touches like fresh flowers , coffee , nice beach chairs, wagon. Cute older 2 bedroom cottage but very clean and the AC systems kept it so cool . I will stay here again.

This property was in a great location, the beach was a short walk around the corner and a close walk to the restaurants and shops on the island. The house itself was dated and had a few issues like the light above our bed didn’t work, the closet and bathroom doors stuck so we just left them open. There is no view out of the windows they each look out to a wall. The manager was friendly and easy to deal with, even gave us clean towels midway through our stay.

Fun Fourth of July

The bungalow is wonderful - it is in the perfect location for easy access to the beach (just feet away) and restaurants. It is exceptionally clean, beds are great and it is as the name describes it is super cozy. The air conditioning is new so it works really well which is also a big plus in July. We rented the place for family as we live locally and I am planning on one day soon driving over the bridge and renting it for ourselves as it is a perfect beach bungalow. The ease of check in, excellent communication, friendliness and availability of the manager 5 plus stars

This was my 4th year staying Barefoot Bungalows.The location is the best for the price After the hurricanes last year, the unit was clean and ready to enjoy. The manager, Lisa, even supplied a certification of being mold free. This is my 4th year and will be back next year. Everything you need to make your stay convenient is already there. Beach towels, beach chairs, beach umbrella, and even a cooler for drinks and snacks plus wagon to take everything to the beach. Thank you again Lisa for the flowers and Easter bunnies decorating my unit. exlast your Lisa is always easy to get a hold

Beach Vacation

Totally as advertised. Short distance from a wonderful beach and all of the stuff you would need - wagon, chairs, towels etc. The cottage is very nice. Comfy bed and plenty of towels with a hot shower. We loved being walking distance to the old village shopping area for groceries and restaurants and entertainment. We hardly moved our car the whole week. Would rent again.
