First of all the location of this sweet beach cottage was idealic...right near Lido Beach and Armond Circle...Love Love Love the decor, and being a former interior designer that is "high" praise.The place was immaculate and very well kept up.Communication with host was excellent.It could not have been better!!!

Perfect get away

The property is so welcoming and within walking distance from the ocean. The owner was very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend this vacation guesthouse.

Great Work Vacay

I needed a quiet spot, walking distance to the beach for a brain break, and this property was just perfect. It was well stocked, had a quiet, peaceful private courtyard, and ample, comfortable space for me to work in and also sleep well and relax.

Fabulous!

Loved this! - my wife and I wanted a quiet, safe, pleasant spot that was well located and this fit the bill. It's a short walk to the beach, swimming pool, and St. Armands circle The location on Lido Key is a short drive to downtown Sarasota. Kim, the owner, is a pleasure to work with and has been SO thoughtful in how she has outfitted her apartment - a large washer/ dryer, fully outfitted kitchen and even filtered drinking water. This was perfect for us. Really looking forward to returning. Thanks Kim!

Can't wait to stay at this guesthouse again!!!

This adorable guesthouse was perfect for our stay. It was immaculate and provided plenty of supplies for our 3-night stay. Both the shower and mattress were great. It is just a 3-minute walk to the beach and a 5-minute drive to St. Armands Circle. Kim was easy to work with as she stayed in communication with us before, during and after our stay. We will plan ahead to make sure we can stay at this adorable guesthouse for our next visit!

Amazing Stay!

I had a great time at the guesthouse. It was clean, nice and in great conditions. It is close to St Armand's Circle and to the beach. Recommend this place to anyone and will definitely come back.

Beach Bliss with Ultimate Seclusion

“Chasing the Sun” exceeded our expectations and they were set very high based on previous reviews. Kim has the check in process simple yet effective. The details of the bungalow were welcoming, extremely clean and upscale. Every detail from kitchen ware to beach necessities was addressed. Proximity to the beach and St Armand’s was extremely convenient. My wife and I will definitely be returning. Thanks Kim for everything. Wonderful trip and well needed mental floss!

Perfect little bungalow

Great location and is stocked with everything you could need. Kim was also very responsive when we encountered an issue with locking the sliding door and came right over to fix it. We will be back.

Wonderful getaway!

Loved everything about this property! It’s small, but beautifully decorated and appointed, and the location was wonderful. We especially appreciated the beach chairs, umbrella and rolling cart for getting everything to the beach. I would definitely stay here again!!

Perfect Lido Key Stay

Kim’s property is an amazing location for a great beach getaway. The property is one block from the beach and a short walk to St Armands Circle. Kim provides everything you would need for a stay, from beach chairs to Sunscreen.

Size and location

Nice space for a couple on the go. The location was perfect for a walk to the beach or the shops and restaurants on St. Armand’s Circle. We didn’t even rent a car. The only issue with not having a car is that if you need any pharmacy items or coffee creamer , there is no pharmacy or market on the island.

Great bungalow near Lido Beach!

We loved the bungalow we stayed in on Lido Key! It had everything you needed from kitchen spices to coolers and beach chairs. We walked the beach every day since we were only a block away. The place is spotless and the owner, Kim, was very prompt with communication. We would definitely recommend this unit if you are in the area!

Wonderful stay

We booked last minute after rescheduling our cruise and wow did that turn out well - this guest home is fantastic. Excellent location, amenities and just a great place to do whatever - beach, shopping, walking, kayaking or just relaxing. We didn't cook but you certainly can - everything you need and then some. Owner couldn't have been more pleasant. It was a great 5 night stay - thank you so much Kim!

Loved this darling beach guesthouse- great use of space, clean, updated and location is superb! Only one block to a gorgeous beach and short walk to fabulous restaurants and shops at St Armands Circle! Owner responsive and helpful. Would love to come back soon!

Awesome Gem

The main house and guest house were perfect for my wife and I and our daughter and son in law plus our 4 grand kids. Easy walk to the beach and square or Uber around for less than $10! Kim is a fantastic host and stocks just about everything you need for beach excursions. We will come back to visit and stay here again!

Comfortable guesthouse on Lido Key.

Great location to enjoy Lido Key and Sarasota. We were 5 minutes walk to the beach and about a 10 minute walk to St. Armand’s Circle where you can find many restaurants and stores. The guesthouse was just as pictured, very clean and had all the things you need to cook and to enjoy the beach. The outdoor courtyard was great to sit in the sun (it was January) without wind. Felt very comfortable. Lots of things to do in the area. We still have to come back to do things like kayaking the Mangrove tunnels. The Lido Beach Resort down the street has a Tiki Bar and and 8th floor restaurant that both have happy hours each day. Our week, unfortunately was a little cool but we still had a couple of days to hang on the beach and we walked the beach every day. Hope to be back next year!!! Kim was a gracious host.

Perfection

My husband and I had such a wonderful time staying at Chasing the Dream. It is an absolutely adorable bungalow in a perfect location—close to the beach, the pool and Lido Beach Resort, St. Armand’s Circle, the kayaking in Ted Sperling Park—all 2 to 10 minute walks—and for those more ambitious, the bridge walk into town is also very doable. The other nice thing about the location is the neighborhood—very friendly, you feel like you belong there in no time! The photos on VRBO are accurate. It is really that cute. Also, it’s very private and very comfortable, with everything you need, including a great electric grill for cooking out. Kim is a great, considerate hostess—you won't need anything but you know you could call her if you did. We loved our time on Lido Key and we highly recommend this property.

Lovely little spot!

The cottage was a perfect retreat while visiting family in Sarasota. Highlights were nights of sound sleep, walking to the beach with coffee in the morning (even in the rain), outdoor showers and meeting our delightful hosts. While we didn't prepare any meals in the efficient little kitchen, we certainly could have, as it was well stocked with full sized appliances, pots, pans, and utensils (there is also a grill). The decor was simple and beachy (in a good way), towels and linens were of good quality, and the space was immaculately clean. All the necessities for a day at the beach were provided, too. We can't wait to go back!
