Here are a few kind words from our past guests:
"My mom and I wanted to sneak away and get out of town for the weekend, so I tried to find a place I could bring my pup to and this was absolutely perfect! We got there during a snowstorm and the place was cozy and warm. Even though it was a small cabin, it felt huge on the inside! Very well decorated and designed. Calli was incredibly responsive, and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and can't wait to do it in the summertime!" - Taryn
"Our family of four fit comfortably in this lovely little cabin. It had everything that we needed. It was clean and free of clutter. We really enjoyed our get away." - Savanah
"What a great little place! It was perfect for the weekend! We wanted to see the ice castle - it was right around the corner. We walked right over and bypassed all the traffic!" - Andrew

This is a dog-friendly home as long as your dog is 12+ months and housebroken. The home has free parking for one large or two compact vehicles.
Other things to note You have complete privacy in your cabin. We live on the property in a separate cabin so we're immediately available to address any issues.
The cabin is located on the busiest street in the Adirondacks. You'll hear some traffic noise during the day but it quiets down in the evening and overnight. You'll be within easy walking distance of restaurants, nightlife, grocery and liquor stores, parks, and more. But, if you want a secluded cabin in the woods, this one isn't for you!
Please let us know if you'll be bringing a pet. There's no extra charge and we love hosting them - just want to know who's staying with us!
Please let us know if you’re bringing more than one vehicle. There’s one, off-street parking space for the cabin. Depending on the sizes of your vehicles, we may be able to accommodate them, or you may need to park one of them down the street.
You'll need to supply your own firewood and kindling but they're easily available locally. We don't allow guests to forage on the property for wood or kindling. The firepit and grill are seasonal - we don't shovel them out in the winter but if you want to you're welcome to!

Les points forts : Propreté, arrivée, communication et emplacement
It was really neat to be able to stay in a historic cabin, the inside was very cute and well decorated and the guides (the laminated and the extra section in regards to the carnival) were very helpful.

This cabin was exactly as described and had all the amenities as well as some extra touches that made for a nice stay. The heated bathroom floor was a big plus on the cold nights (and mornings). The outdoor area with fire pit was very inviting and well kept.

Very much enjoyed this property for our visit to Lake Placid and surrounding areas. We really appreciated the ability to bring our dogs, use the dock, and special features at the cabin such as the sauna and fire pit.Note for dog owners: not much area for dogs to roam on property itself, but given that the region is very dog friendly we did not feel limited in having places to bring them around the area.

Us and our pets had a great time. Communication with host was excellent. Traffic was a little loud for our pups, but not a big deal.

A very cozy cabin in the Adirondacks with a fully stocked kitchen. We were unsure based off the pictures so we came prepared and were very happy to see it has everything we needed. Easy walk into downtown Saranac. We also got the chance to meet the host who was very nice and gave us the history of the cabin. The sauna was an added bonus. We fully plan on booking the place for a trip in the future during a different season. Thank you for the hospitality.

The cottage was very well equipped, the hosts provided everything you’d need for a great stay. The cottage is located across from the lake with a great view but you have to cross a very busy road, the cars do not stop, and hop over a guardrail. This was not easy to do while carrying boats and managing kids. It would have been easier to drive to a launch. Also, the full size bed is an older pullout couch that sags heavily in the middle and was not comfortable for two adults to sleep. Other than that, it was a great stay.
