Argyro's Gaia Cozy Cave Traditional Emporio Stay

GAIA, is a renovated cave stone apartment of the house. This house was bought by the current owners 20 years ago. There was a house of the last century. It was restored and renovated last in April 2024 with care and respect for the traditional style.
It would be our great pleasure to be able to share with you the uniqueness and beauty of the cave apartment.
You will enjoy the feeling of rest, relaxation and tranquility of a traditional cave house with modern comforts.

The Space:
GAIA, the renovated traditional Cave Apartment has its own gate, you go down 5 wide stairs to enter the house.
The apartment is 54 sqm. combines the old Cycladic style of materials and construction with today's comforts.
Ideal for 3 people.
The apartment has comfortable interiors.
It consisting of a bedroom with queen size built-in bed and wardrobe, without partition door, a living room with single stone-build bed, a corner stone-build sofa, a stone table where you can relax and enjoy your meals.
In the open space ,is the kitchen with all electrical appliances, as well as smart TV, WiFi.
It has also warm water.
The bathroom is spacious with shower.
The stone caves do not have air conditioning, as their construction offers natural coolness and the temperature inside is about 23-25 degrees Celsius especially during the hot summer months.
The front door has a movable small window and the bathroom has a double glazed window.
Both windows have aluminium
screen and iron's the bathroom
double glazed window, for safety.
In addition, a tube system in the bedroom together with the above mentioned creates full air circulation.
The entire cave apartment at your disposal.
It is comfortable, cool as well as soundproof.

The Neighborhood:
The house is located 5 minutes from the main square of Emporio.
There, you will find supermarkets, mini markets, cafes, restaurants , traditional souvlaki, pizza, bakery, butcher shop, grocery store, pharmacy, dental clinic, bank automatics, bus stop for Perissa/ Perivolo and for Fira.
To go to the sea Perissa/Perivolo by bus you need 8minutes.
To go by foot is 30 minutes.
For Fira 20-30 minutes (depending on traffic).
In Fira, there is the main bus station from where you can travel to Oia,Immerovigli , Kamari etc.
To Akrotiri you take the bus to Fira, you get off at the cross of Akrotiri bus stop, junction you cross the road to take the bus, that comes from Fira to Akrotiri.
In Akrotiri, there is an outdoor archeological site and it is worth visiting.
Also in the area of Akrotiri , there is the famous red beach with red volcanic rocks.
You can also move by car / Quad / ATV / scooter for a long distances for your convenience and easy travelling and exploring and feel free without waiting at the bus stop as well as the response for another destination.
The island's picturesque village beauty and special areas are not accessible by bus.
The house is 150 meters from the two municipal parking lots, so that accessibility to the house is easy and comfortable.
Emporio is the largest village of Santorini and the Cyclades.
To the east dominates the mountain Profitis Ilias with the homonymous monastery.
Then the ancient Thira high up with a museum ,from this place you gaze at the beautiful Aegean sea.
The village is agritourism, very picturesque because the houses hang around the fortress of Kastelli with the quiet narrow streets.
