Set at the end of a cul-de-sac in the beloved Mesa neighborhood, life naturally slows to a vacation-ready pace. Comfortable, casual, and perfectly placed, this home makes it easy for everyone to relax into the coastal way of life. With ease of proximity, several beaches, parks, and some local's favorite eateries are all within a short stroll.
The two-story layout with dual-living in mind, is designed for togetherness as well as autonomy. The first floor feels like its own relaxed hideaway, ideal for kids, teens, or guests who appreciate a space that can be closed off from the main living area upstairs. The space features two full-size, memory foam bunk beds, a sofa, tv, a game table, and an electric fireplace heater for a cozy coastal glow. Hang out on the deck overlooking the backyard, or settle into Adirondack chairs below under lush shade trees and let time slip happily by. The bedroom with a king-size bed, a generous closet, a second TV, and a nearby hall bath creates a suite-style experience for guests.
Up the circular staircase, the home opens into a sunny hangout where floor-to-ceiling windows flood the room with natural light. The kitchen and dining area are equipped for everything from easy beach-day breakfasts to celebratory dinners. Please note that the home does not have a dishwasher. The living room features a dual-recliner sofa, so sit back on movie night to enjoy the show, or take a quick nap! French doors lead out to a super-scenic deck with captivating ocean views beyond the lush, creekside space below. The upstairs primary suite with a second king-size bed mirrors the thoughtful comfort of the bedroom below, so everyone enjoys the “best room.”
Wander across the adjacent footbridge to Mesa Park with its playground and rolling grass to entertain young, energetic guests. Lazy Acres Market is just across the street too for every gourmet delight imaginable. Meet up with friends at Corner Tap, or for a quick grab-and-go snack local's know to venture over to Cuca's for the best burritos in town—and they're not wrong. This clever footbridge is the effortless connection to, and from, the heart of the Mesa.
Days here invite movement and fresh air: walk the pups at Wilcox Preserve, chase sunsets at Hendry's Beach, or bike to Shoreline Park to watch surfers carve up the epic waves at Leadbetter Beach below the cliffs of Shoreline Drive. Evenings are for coming home, reconnecting, and letting Santa Barbara's laid-back coastal lifestyle do the rest. Mesa Del Mar just makes perfect sense to feel like a local living one's best life. Enjoy!

The main issue with this property is its proximity to the long metal bridge over a large ravine that leads to Mesa Park. The bridge is located right beside the front small driveway and is in constant use with bicycles and electric bikes pounding over the bridge and runners, walkers and lots of people going over the bridge. It is very noisy plus people just come off the path right through the driveway, even at night. Sometimes people congregate on the bridge to smoke, etc. It just isn't a very pleasant location in terms of noise and the number of people sometimes going through the small dead yard and driveway to get to the bridge. The park itself is ok, though periodically I did see a couple of homeless people sleeping on the ground. Of all the rentals I have done with this company, this is by far my least favorite one.
