The building:

Surf Station is a small collection of private apartments in Santa Barbara’s West Beach neighborhood, managed by Maza Hospitality. Unit 3 is entirely your own — you won’t share a hallway, kitchen, or bath.

Sleeps up to 4. All beds made up with hotel-grade linens and towels.



The space:

A fully renovated 1-bedroom tucked into a tropical courtyard. Living room with a comfy sofa and a 48" flatscreen TV, with fast WiFi throughout. Bathroom stocked with Public Goods products.



Kitchen:

Full kitchen, stocked for real cooking — cookware, bakeware, knives, utensils, plates, glassware, coffee and wine glasses. Nespresso machine with a starter set of pods, plus a kettle. Dishwasher, full-size fridge, oven, and stovetop. Salt, pepper, oil, and basic pantry staples on hand.



Shared courtyard:

Gas BBQ, picnic table, fountain, and overhead string lights, shared with the other Surf Station apartments.



Parking:

One free private parking spot behind the building is included — a real perk in this walkable beach neighborhood, where street parking is genuinely difficult.



Getting around:

Funk Zone tasting rooms and restaurants: ~5 min walk

West Beach and Stearns Wharf: ~10 min walk

Downtown / State Street: ~10 min walk

Amtrak Santa Barbara station: directly across the street

Once you’ve parked, you can leave the car for the weekend.



Check-in:

Self check-in after 4:00 PM. Checkout by 11:00 AM. We send door codes and directions on the day of arrival.



Pre-check-in:

After booking, we ask you to complete a quick pre check-in: a photo ID upload and a $1 security deposit hold. It takes about two minutes.



Good to know:

This is a lively, downtown-adjacent neighborhood. You’ll hear some city sound, including the occasional train — if you’re a light sleeper, bring earplugs. Please note: the units come with fans but do not have air conditioning. There are exterior security cameras on the property. None are inside the unit. Pets are welcome — there is a $75 pet fee for the stay. Maximum 4 guests. No parties or events.

Guest Access:

Guests will be able to access their individual apartment as well as the common courtyard and BBQ area, which includes outdoor picnic table, fountain, and overhead string lighting.

This listing is located in Santa Barbara's West Beach neighborhood. One of the most walkable and desirable areas of Santa Barbara, you are just a few block walk from West Beach, Stearn's Wharf, and right on the edge of the hippest area of Santa Barbara, the Funk Zone. The property is also conveniently located right across from the Train Station, making it extremely convenient for utilizing public transportation.



Getting Around:

This is a fantastic walking neighborhood close to downtown, the pier, and the beach. Also, great for biking. There is numbered private parking in the rear of the building.
