Welcome to Blue Saffron House, a colorful, character-filled retreat tucked into the heart of Sanford's historic downtown. Park the car and forget about driving — you're steps from brick-lined streets, restaurants, coffee shops, breweries, bakeries, and boutiques.

Just past the carport, a private oasis awaits: a brand-new saltwater pool with a plunge spa, surrounded by newly landscaped outdoor space for sunny afternoons, evening swims, cocktails, and doing absolutely nothing on purpose.

THE HOUSE

Blue Saffron blends historic Sanford charm with a colorful, eclectic style and modern comfort — great for families, friends, or couples. You'll find thoughtfully decorated bedrooms, an open gourmet kitchen, and playful, hand-picked details throughout.

The open kitchen flows into the dining area, anchored by a large farmhouse-Scandinavian table with vintage chairs and a bench — perfect for shared meals or working remotely.

Coffee Bar: grinder, Keurig, drip maker, 20-bar espresso machine.

Kitchen: brand-new café fridge/dishwasher, KitchenAid stand mixer, Ninja blender/food processor, hand blender, can opener, electric wine opener, air fryer, toaster, kettle, microwave, full Circulon cookware, glassware, and plastic poolside wine glasses (green kitchen cabinet). Bakers will feel right at home with a stand mixer and full bakeware. A wooden high chair for baby/toddler is available on request, free of charge.

Living Room: Hisense 75" 4K Smart CANVAS TV via Xumo box (Google TV or Spectrum TV), plus two arcade machines — an Arcade1Up Pac-Man Deluxe cabinet and a Mario-themed 2-player stand-up with 6,000+ games.

THE BEDROOMS

All bedrooms are on the first floor.

Master Bedroom — Arabian Nights–inspired theme in black and gold, king bed, Samsung Frame Smart TV, ensuite bath finished in white and gold with gold-accented fixtures.

Peacock Room — tropical peacock design with coordinating vanity, king bed, Samsung Frame Smart TV.

Evergreen Room — two twin beds, colorful and cheerful.

A separate Mediterranean blue-and-gold bathroom with a walk-in shower serves the Peacock and Evergreen rooms.

THE BACKYARD OASIS

Enjoy the private pool and plunge spa, designed more for relaxing and floating than serious laps, then unwind outside with a cold drink as the Florida evening takes over.

The pool gate has a child-safety latch and closes automatically; guests use the pool at their own discretion, and children/non-swimmers require active adult supervision at all times — never leave children unattended near the water. Pool towels are racked on the wooden bench in the laundry room.

LOCATION

You're in the middle of Sanford's historic district, not miles from it. Nearby, the restored Historic Venue 1902 adds storybook charm — great for an evening stroll on a honeymoon, couples' getaway, or a family reunion with close friends. Lake Monroe (minutes away) offers walking/biking trails, fishing, boating, and sunsets. Hollerbach's German Restaurant, Market, and Bakery are a short stroll away for schnitzel, live polka, and Black Forest cake. You're centrally located between both Florida coasts and Orlando's theme parks (Disney, Universal, and more), and the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens is minutes away too.

GETTING HERE

By car: minutes from I-4. By air: a short hop from Orlando Sanford International (SFB), ~30–40 min from Orlando International (MCO). By rail: close to the SunRail Sanford station.

GUEST ACCESS

Full access to all bedrooms/bathrooms, the kitchen, living room/arcade, and the backyard pool. The property is fully fenced, with front and back gates as the only entry/exit points (very small pets may be able to slip through the metal fencing — please keep them secured).

Two ways into the front: the driveway (by car) and a separate walk-in pathway gate. Both front and back gates are automated swing gates opened by remote; on first arrival, key in the entry code at the front keypad, then collect your remote inside.

The back gate is exit-only (e.g., for trash) via a button on the left side; re-entry needs the code or remote. Watch for stone boulders and the sensors/reflectors on the gate posts when exiting — the back alley is narrow, so drive out carefully. This is why entry is always through the front gate.

The pool gate has its own child-safety latch: pull to open, it closes automatically, and you push the same latch from inside to exit.

The room under the stairway, the small cabinet next to the arcade games, and the backyard shed are locked owner storage — not part of the guest space.

PARKING

Two onsite spaces on the driveway only (no grass/gravel). No trailers or boats. Max two cars on premises; extra vehicles can park on the adjacent streets.

HOUSE RULES

Max 6 guests.

Entry only through the front gate; back gate is exit-only. Both remotes provided; lost remotes incur a $100 fine each.
Storage room, arcade cabinet, and shed are off-limits.
No glass in the pool area — use the provided plastic glasses.
Don't touch the pool equipment (auto-programmed; tampering causes fines). During the naturally warm summer and early fall months, when the sun keeps the water comfortably warm on its own, there's no need for pool heat. During the winter and colder months, if you'd like the Plunge Spa heated, please reach out to the host in advance to arrange it. For heating the Plunge Spa we charge a reasonable rate of $75 per day rather than charging hourly — please request this during booking.

No firearms, no illegal drugs, no parties/large gatherings.
No smoking indoors ($1,000 fine for evidence of smoking).
No loud music/excessive noise — respect quiet hours and neighbors.
Follow posted trash/garbage rules.

PETS

Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome per stay. Unfortunately cats can't be accommodated, as the owner has a cat allergy — thank you for understanding! Guests must clean up after pets, indoors and out.

A FEW THINGS TO KNOW

You may occasionally hear neighborhood/downtown sounds — part of the charm of historic Sanford. The pool is a private, non-lifeguarded residential pool; children and inexperienced swimmers need active adult supervision at all times. Please treat Blue Saffron with the same care and respect you'd give your own home, and be mindful of quiet hours and neighbors.

SECURITY CAMERAS — DISCLOSURE

For everyone's safety: 3 exterior cameras cover the front, backyard, and right side of the property — intentionally none on the pool side, for guest privacy. The front door and carport door smart locks each have an outward-facing camera to monitor entry; because the carport door faces the pool, it can partially capture the far end of the spa/lounge area. All feeds are viewable on an in-home monitor. No camera looks into or records any interior living space, bedroom, or bathroom.
